Ashe gulped and she stepped forward, the tip of her wide heels tapping against the tile.
"Hello?"
It was dark, and the only light in the area was the dim neon blue of the portal streaking through the blackness of the room. Something clattered on the floor and Ashe looked down and saw a screw rolling to a stop. She bent down and picked it up. Where had this little thing come from?
'Oh no, is there a screw loose in the Beamer?' she thought frightfully before realizing that the possibility was very low. They had spent one entire week just to assemble one Portal.
"Ms Hermann."
Ashe took in a breath and turned around. Cold hands wrapped her neck and threw her to the wall. It barely hurt her but she looked up and saw an unrecognizable man covered in black cloth from head to toe. She recognized him from Haffar's description which Tasha had shared with them later on.
"You're here again," Ashe rumbled, strangely calm.
