They both sat there in silence. Lucas growled everytime his tummy rumbled and Saye sighed. She tried to figure out a weakness which Lucas had… anything. That was the number one step to effective manipulation. She wanted to laugh right now. She was no different from a villain herself. If she was good or not, depended on perspective. From Lucas' perspective, he was the good one here. He had worked so hard to try to prove to his mother that he can be something. That was a goal in itself.
Saye took away her hand from her head. "Okay, here's the offer."
Lucas slowly looked at Saye with expectation.
"I'll give you a chief position in the department of Quality Checking, it's an important department as even a single error in our files can disrupt an entire project."
Lucas beamed.
