Saye felt like she was swirling in a whirlpool, round and round. Deeper and deeper. She was the water and it was deep blue, sparkling in the sun. But then the sun dipped its legs into the horizon and disappeared and a black inky night covered her. Now she was nothing more than slow lapping waves, lost. Not knowing where to go.
She ruffled her blonde hair and pried her eyes open to see the five boys standing in front of her. She got up and straightened down her waves when she noticed even more people behind them. Black hoods and black eyes, well at least most of them had black eyes. A few even had electric violet eyes that sent an arrow of awe through her heart.
"Who?" she managed to say.
Kai waved towards the people behind him. "Our mission was a success… well sort of. We didn't manage to get to Rose."
Saye placed a hand on her hip. "Are you boys in your right mind? These are Spiders, aren't they? Who gave you the guts to bring them here?"
