Somewhere in Midgard (Earth)
A loud crashing sound came from the sky over New York City. Tremors could be felt all across Manhattan, but the point of origin was believed to be the Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir in Central Park. The people in the city were getting nervous since they hadn't felt one of those in a very long time. For many young people, it was actually the first time they felt a tremor. How the ground shook took their minds off the crashing sound in the sky, as it became a more imminent threat for everyone.
Moments after, a rift started to open itself high up in the sky above Central Park. Some people were able to see it in real time. All those who witnessed it firsthand took out their smartphones and filmed the unknown phenomenon. As the rift grew larger, they saw what appeared to be two people coming out of it with an even louder crash and a shockwave breaking across the sky.
