Even while hyping himself up, Legend couldn't rid himself of the voices that tormented him. It took a lot of strength of mind not to become completely lost in the scenarios that the voices painted for him. They didn't sound like ethereal voices; neither did they have a sinister undertone. They just sounded like regular people, which he just happened to overhear. To Legend, it seemed as if the sound of the voices was coming from the cell next to his; but there was no way to be sure.
Legend would often forget that he was sick. Whenever that happened, he challenged those who said those things about him.
