Maybe he thought the others would pick up on his plan. I didn't know why he thought this plan of his was going to work. In what universe did he think blatantly lying to me like that would work. My irritation peaked in that moment. I ripped his lifeforce from his body.
Concentrating it all into the palm of my hand to begin forming a time crystal. That single act was surprisingly violent, and instinctual. I couldn't do anything like that before my time element advanced. I looked at the lifeforce swirling above my palm.
"I don't recommend lying to me," I frowned, "I will know, and I will kill you."
His body folded to the ground. His hair had gone white, and there were the faintest breaths of life still in him, but his death was guaranteed within the next few moments. I'd quite literally taken away his whole life. I looked around to the people that were around me. I beckoned the next person forward, but no one moved.
More attacks were launched, but nothing of importance happened to me. The first attack hit me without doing any damage. The two wyverns blocked the rest of the attacks with little to no hesitation. Considering that they weren't my pets like my own shiny new wyvern it was surprising they obeyed at all. Maybe they sensed that I would let them go when this was all over.
The teleportation was nearly ready. I didn't have time to screw around anymore. I walked up the steps I'd built specifically to draw the others to me. They weren't coming to me so it was time for me to go to them. Some of the elves moved back rows.
I grabbed the closest one, and my iron grip stopped him from escaping.
"How many?" murderous intent rolled off my tongue.
"I don't know," he blundered.
A slip of the tongue I was sure, but he'd already spoken. I ripped his time away, and added it to the swirling ball of time I was collecting. Leaving him to die to repeat the same conversation with the next elf. Many of them were fleeing to the other side of the arena after I'd repeated this whole dance of death with a third elf. I got ahold of a low elf that wasn't as well dressed as the others.
He told me two, and I believed him. Teleporting him out of the arena a split second later. He was the first to survive, but if luck held the poor elves would have a much higher chance of surviving simply because they couldn't afford to buy as many slaves. The fact that they made less money than the nobles made them respect what they bought a lot more. I was glad I kept a few crystal containing boxes in my spatial storage.
I found out that it took about a thousand years of time to create a time crystals. That meant this packed arena would give me about two hundred time crystals. Too bad I only had eleven crystal storage boxes. I guess I'd just have to strengthen the crystals I started with. Fifteen more minutes, and it would be time to teleport out of here.
I could already feel some attacks being launched against the outside of the barrier. It wasn't taking much of the mana I'd accumulated to keep the barrier in place. Especially since I'd taken over the barrier that had been built into the arena itself. Granted the original barrier was a two layer barrier that was meant to keep the slaves in without disturbing the mana of the surrounding area. The power of the barrier wouldn't hold forever.
I kept going through the elves one by one. If I kept this up for all the elves in the arena I'd have eleven incredibly powerful time crystals once I was done. Time crystals were an incredibly rare resource if they were this hard to create then I may be able to use them as a bargaining chip with the elven queen. I might be able to get myself more slaves while rescuing Sekka at the same time, but my first priority was clearing out our base of operations on the elven world. That meant the temporary spatial portal we'd built would have to be destroyed on both sides.
You couldn't teleport to somewhere you didn't have spatial coordinates for. No elf on this planet had been to earth in their lifetime so unless they saw my portal they wouldn't have coordinates to work with. Add on the fact that most of my array had been placed. They wouldn't be placed as well as I liked, but I could get them close if I teleported them below the capital. I managed to extract time from an elf every five seconds.
Problem was that I didn't have enough power or time to deal with them all at once. Whatever elves went with me were guaranteed to die. During the last minute I moved down to the arena floor. The slaves were milling around a bit with terrified expressions.
"Don't worry," I smirked at them, "I have no intention of killing any of you. I actually came here to save you slaves."
None of them moved like they believed me. I yanked all the time out of the elves a moment later. Drawing it into dozens of small crystals. Placing multiple crystals in each crystal containing box so they could fuse. All the elves dropped.
They'd be dead in a few more moments. The entire arena moved into the air a few miles from the death valley, and started falling. The ground shaking spooked all the surviving slaves. I snapped my fingers, and used a large portion of the mana I'd brought under my control of break all the cages the slaves were kept in as well as they're collars.
"If you don't want to die then you might want to come to the arena floor as quickly as possible," I made sure my voice carried, "I can only manage one teleportation before the arena hits the ground. It will drain all my mana to teleport you all at once, but getting you our of here was the goal in the first place."
