"Letty," I knew he would appear if I said it out loud.
He did appear. Startling Aurora, and causing her to recoil while growling.
"What do you need?" He flared his coat like a showman.
"You said that you know a lot about politics," I looked down at him, "I want you to study up on current politics, and get draw up a rough draft on a cease fire between us, and the military. Eliza should be able to give you a good idea of what the current laws are." I paused momentarily, "Actually she did bring a shuttle here. She may be able to look it up on a device if you'd like."
"Asking me to learn even more," He sniggered, "I have no problems with that. Human laws don't change all that much. A little less death every few years. Not much change otherwise."
"Go on," I thumped my tail on the ground, "I don't really need you here for anything else."
Letty bowed slowly before vanishing into his own shadow. His presence completely vanished into thin air. My muscles coiled as I stood slowly. I was more than a little tense. I wanted to fast forward time to the day of the meeting.
I simply wasn't capable of that kind of feat. I glided down the side of the hollow mountain, and sought out Sekka. Even if I wasn't planning on leaving for the elven world for a little over a year I could start learning now. Sekka was raised on that world. He would know the language, and the basic behavior of the elves.
I stepped into the large halls of the lower floor. The inner workings of the hollow mountain weren't meant for something the size of a dragon though so I wouldn't be able to go up the tower that way without switching to my human form. I flicked my tail casually as I walked along the lower floor. I was checking out the overall setup of the lower floor. Looking around at the placement of the doors, and such to make sure it would be easy for both dragons, and humans to cross between the rooms.
Checking the placement of the pillars to confirm that the floors would hold on their own without needing more support. My size made the people around me wary. I wasn't acting openly hostile so wary was where it stopped. I focused on finding Sekka. I didn't know where he'd went, but I doubted it was far.
I knew from the range of my spatial awareness that no one had left the camp. I could tell that there were no spatial portals opened either. I'd felt it when there was even the slightest spatial disturbance. I was specifically looking for spatial disturbances most of the time. It was highly unlikely that he would get past me that way.
I switched back to my human form. My jacket flapped in the air as I descended to the ground gently. The crystal on my head, and chest were clearly visible. I looked around the room casually. I really should get something more suited to a formal meeting for clothing.
The werewolves were the ones that had the materials necessary for making more clothing. A permanent gate might be a good idea. I didn't bother to pretend to be human right now. I didn't really care if everyone could tell what I was. I wasn't trying to hide it.
I didn't see much point in trying to hide who I was. Anyone who had eyes within the camp knew what I looked like in both forms by now. I'd raised the ground beneath the hollow mountain so that the underground housing wouldn't flood. The stairways that led beneath the ground were also covered. Little hooded entrances that reduced the amount of water that could get down there in the first place.
I wondered briefly how many people had moved into the underground housing. I imagined that most of Eliza's people would choose to go down there over going into the hollow mountain itself. The hollow mountain appeared to have a lot of access to dragons. Truthfully only young dragons would be able to get into the inner layers. Once they got past a year, and a half they simply wouldn't be able to fit through any of the human doorways.
When I didn't find him on the bottom floor I moved up to the second floor. There were a few people on the second floor. I was trying to avoid going into the underground tunnels. I'd made the tunnels specifically for human housing. I wasn't going to go down there unless I absolutely had to.
It didn't take me long to find Sekka once I made it to the second floor. Copper was there with Bryce. Copper was getting a little big for getting up the stairway. He still fit through doorways so I really had no reason to kick him out. Bryce was discussing moving the mobile forge into one of the halls in the lower floor.
He'd gathered a big group of people for the task. Although to be completely honest I didn't think ten people was enough.
"I don't know why you didn't just ask me to move the forge," The people around me startled.
They didn't seem to have noticed I was there. Kind of surprising due to the presence I tended to give off, but humans did have a knack for adjusting to things. They probably had already gotten used to my presence. Sekka looked at me with a frown.
"And I found the person I was looking for while I was at it," I smirked, "I can manipulate gravity so that you can still enact whatever plan you were putting together without killing yourselves."
They didn't move to accept my plan right away.
"You seem to be doing fine Copper," I messed my hair up a little further, "It seems like you enjoy making weapons with Bryce, and you've got a soft spot for the humans of the camp."
