"He doesn't eat people," I almost chuckled to myself, "Too many bones not enough meat."
The memory of the last time Wyatt had said that flashing through my mind fondly.
"What makes you so sure?" Calen's pinpoint focus on me made me flinch.
"Nix doesn't eat people," I was barely stopping myself from shaking, "He never has, and never will."
"That dragon of yours will be hunted, and killed if he harms a single one of my people," Calen threatened, "Don't let it happen. We have enough people to kill a beast as powerful as him."
My telekinetic energy wrapped around him tightly. Lifting him into the air as my hostility rose to the maximum. All thoughts of fear vanishing into thin air.
"Don't threaten him," I practically snarled as I stepped out from behind Savannah, "If he dies so do you, and everyone that helped you. I'll kill you all or die trying."
I pushed down the energy my mark tried to accumulate. I didn't want to show my mark before Wyatt had finished what he needed to do here. I dropped the guild leader. Making him stumble a bit when his feet hit the ground.
"Don't threaten him again," I walked past him into the housing we were supposed to be using for now.
I could hear Savannah apologizing for my behavior behind me as I kept walking into the building without her. I had overreacted a bit, but I wasn't going to have him threaten Wyatt without some sort of consequences. I could feel a slight mental tug from Wyatt as if he were asking if I were alright. I responded to the mental tug with a mental nod. I was fine.
I was just pissed beyond words. I didn't want them doing anything stupid. Attacking Wyatt was suicide for normal ability users. Even if he was avoiding magic for now he was more than capable of killing them all with a breath attack or one of his wide range spells. I flopped on the bed in the room I'd chosen, and basically passed out from all the stress of the day.

I'd felt the tug of Ethan's anger, but he seemed to be fine. I really hoped he wasn't causing any trouble while I was running around. The hue that the blue sun gave this planet was unusual. The creatures of the planet all seemed to carry a blue coloration as well. I stayed high enough that it was difficult for those on the ground to notice me.
Those in the sky that did notice me were killed as soon as they approached me. Falling to the ground with their crystal ripped out. I wasn't very hungry right now so just killing them would have to be enough for now. I watched the adventurers hunt different types of beasts that lived on the planet's surface. Collecting the useful parts from the corpses, and leaving the rest for nature to take its course.
Most of what they hunted was about the size of an average hunter, or slightly bigger. None of the parties that were closer to the settlement were struggling. Nor did they appear to be in any immediate danger. The further out I went the more interesting, and dangerous the beasts appeared to be. The less adventurers there were to see.
There seemed to be only one group that was more than an hour flight away from the settlement. I hovered over them for a few hours as I watched them fend off, kill, or scare away the beasts that attacked them. I found the amount of effort they were putting in quite impressive. I dipped lower in flight so that I was hovering just above them. This was the first time they'd noticed me flying above them.
They stopped, and appeared to be cautious of me. I flapped my big wings so I could hover in place as they looked me over cautiously. I didn't try to do anything stupid that would warrant an attack. I just hovered over them waiting for them to do something that would give me a reason to attack them or allow me to keep observing. I spotted a creature coming from the left, and hit him with the full force of my murderous intent.
The beast skidded to a stop just in view of the hunting party. I growled at the beast before dropping to the ground, and prowling toward the stunned beast. It shrank away from me as I folded my wings in close to my back. The party was too stunned to do anything about this stare down between two powerful beasts. I almost felt high from the oxygen content of this world compared to earth.
I swung my arm back, and swiped the beasts head clean off its shoulders. The head bounced off a nearby tree before rolling back to me. I dug my talons into its chest to extract its crystal before looking over the fist sized crystal. I sat back on my haunches, and looked at the dozen crystals I'd managed to collect. It was getting hard to hold them all.
I dug out a small divot in the soil, and pilled the crystals in. Then backed away about fifty feet, and looked at the party expectantly. They looked confused about what I seemed to be asking them to do, but one got up the balls to actually come over, and pick them up. Putting them in a bag he had attached to his belt before showing me his hands, and backing away slowly. I nodded, and jumped back into the air without touching a single party member.
I circled them a few times before moving even further out. Most beasts were completely oblivious to my presence as I flew above them all. I targeted ones that appeared to be stronger than all the others I saw specifically to get them maximum amount of XP from them. Sometimes I would circle closer to the base, and help with their more powerful opponents before flying back out to the further out party with my spoils to drop them off. Once they realized I was a tamed beast they should return what I'd hunted to my owner.
