"We still have to meet up at the canyon tomorrow," I yawned as I laid down slowly, "I kind of want to look down in that canyon."
"Why?" Ethan looked at me funny, "The most dangerous creatures on this planet are down there."
"I want to see how I compare," my tail twitched.
"That's dangerous," Savannah snapped, "You don't do stuff like that just to test yourself."
"Fine then," I dropped my head slowly, "I'll take a nap then." my head hit the ground, "I'll wake if anything happens."
I knew I could go from deep sleep to full awareness very quickly whenever one of my bonded were threatened in any way. I figured I could probably do the same if I were threatened. My wings twitched as I fell asleep. They could go off on their own, and hunt a little or stick around, and wait for the beasts to come to us. My wings twitched as I slept, but other than that I was completely still.
I dreamed about a place I'd never seen before. It was a massive empty cavern with murals carved into the unnaturally smooth walls. One showed a volcanic landscape with a volcano erupting in the center. The one next to it was blank. After the blank one was a mountaintop with dozens of lightning strikes coming down on it.
It was lit up. Followed by another blank one. Then one that seemed to be a depiction of an ocean reef. This one was also lit up. Then another blank one.
A cliffside with swirls that was meant to depict the wind. This one was also lit up. Then another blank one. The next showed what appeared to be rocks. Followed by the last one.
The last one was partially filled in. It looked like someone had started carving stars into the top few feet of it, but the carvings just kind of faded out.
"What is this place?" I cocked my head.
"A bit young to be seeing this place aren't you?" a voice spoke from next to me.
I jumped at the sound of the voice, and moved away from her. I knew she was female, but she was truthfully massive. The cavern warped slightly as the space expanded to accommodate her size. I looked up slowly as I tried to catch sight of what exactly the massive scaled beast before me was. I had to back up quite a bit to see her head.
She was a dragon, and by far the biggest creature I'd ever seen. Her head alone was the size of a house. Not a little one either. A big six bedroom luxury house with the man cave, and basement. She had two big horns like mine, but unlike me she had more smaller horns around the two big ones.
Her body was an emerald green, and the shine to her scales made her look like she was made of thousands of well shined jewels. Her big horns were tipped with brown. She had two smaller sets of horns between her big ones. The ones in the center had blue tips, and the outer ones had red on them. Then there were the horns outside of her two big ones.
The two closest to her big horns were tipped with light sky blue. The next set was tipped with gold. Followed by white, black, grey, silver, and finally the tips of the last two horns looked clear. I could see the distortion around the clear tipped horns which was why I knew they were still there. The symmetrical way her horns were arranged made them look almost like a crown.
She looked down at me carefully. Waiting for me to do something.
"Who are you?" I backed up slowly.
"I'm just an echo," She replied calmly, "Of the one that created your core."
"My core?" I cocked my head the other way.
"The thing that made you a dragon," She smirked, "I don't know what you started as little one, but I took something from you when I made you this way. Take solace in the fact that when I crafted it from my own core it killed me. Long ago."
"Why would you do that to yourself?" I straightened out my neck, "And why would you do this to me?"
"There was no hope in my time," She lowered her head to my level, "Even if I tried to bring our race back from the brink I would have failed. No," She looked away from me at the walls around us, "Our best chance was for me to wait, and as old as I was I would not have lived long enough for it to be safe for me to hatch the remnants of our kind."
"Hatch?" I cocked my head.
"Yes," she nodded, "I hid them. A hundred eggs. I hid them with an ally."
"A hundred dragon eggs?" I was kind of stunned by this revelation.
"Not all of them will hatch," she shook her head, "It's been far too long."
"Who did you hide them with?" I wanted to know.
Things would be a lot easier if I wasn't the only dragon. If each individual dragon is as strong as I am then we'd stand a chance as long as we stood together.
"It is surprising," she spoke each word slowly as she reached out her claw towards the unfinished mural, "I wasn't able to see the stars until I was much older." she looked at me suddenly, "Time to wake up."
The cavern around me started to fade slowly.
"WHAT ABOUT THE EGGS?" I shouted.
"I don't remember," she answered, "There's not enough of me left. Soon there won't be anything left of me at all."
I woke up with a start.
"What was that?" I wondered aloud.
"What was what?" Ethan asked from where he sat leaned up against me.

I thought there were only five elements?!?!
User is correct. There are only five elements that occur, and can be affected by natural mana. There are also five unnatural elements that cannot normally be manipulated by mana.
