Chapter 158 - Venomous level 3

User has to absorb the venom.

System how do I absorb the venom?

Simple. You simply have to be poisoned by the desired venom, and survive. Passive ability of venomous skill includes high poison resistance with complete immunity to types of venom the user produces.

Well it's nice to know that I won't be easy to poison. Anything else I should know?

Nothing in particular that the system deems necessary.

Glad I don't have to call the system all the time to get an answer now. It would continue to respond until I ended the conversation, but why did it evolve now? That was what I didn't understand. What changed that forced the system to evolve? I was excited to see what would happen in the future.

"Use my account to sell them," I debated on pulling my head back into my room, "Here's the password."

I waved my talons in the air forming an electrical framework of the words. This startled Savannah a bit. She hadn't realized how much my mana control had improved. Out of all my elemental abilities lightning was the one that I could control the easiest. Really was too bad that I didn't have the earth element as well.

It would be nice if I had earth element as well. One of the abilities of lightning is to animate golems, but I needed earth element to create the bodies of the golems. I pulled my head into the room, and closed the door as the electrical letters faded. I was a bit worn out. I settled in to sleep.

Tomorrow was a club day. I wanted to have plenty of sleep before I went in. I could pretty much guarantee Goliath was planning on putting me through my paces once club was over. It didn't take long for me to fall asleep. I woke up early.

Before my alarm had even gone off. I did go to bed early. I stood slowly as I switched forms. I pulled on some fresh clothes, and threw all my dirty clothes in the chute to be washed. My watch went off when I was done.

It alerted me to a package that was ready to be received, and there was an old notification from Ethan putting my venom up for auction. Apparently he'd put them all up as a large single lot. I was going to have to talk to him about that later. People getting their hands on that much Basilisk venom was one of the most dangerous things people could do out in the field. Having a Basilisk as a tamed beast was incredibly rare since you'd have to find, and successfully steal a Basilisk egg from one of their nests.

Basilisks only guarded their nests until the eggs hatch, but the hatchlings were their own brand of deadly. I stepped into the common area, and went up to my desk top to accept the package. I'd never accepted a package before so I was interested to see how it worked. I clicked the accept button on the desktop, and it prompted me to step back. I stepped back as asked, and the entire desktop lit up bright enough that it was difficult for me to look at it.

When the light faded there was a small box on my desk.

"Neat," If you'd looked at my face right now you would've seen a happy smirk.

I opened the box, and found a weird device with a piece of paper. I looked over the weird device slowly. It was a oval piece of wood with a metal tube going the long way through. The metal tube had a mana crystal in the middle. I shook the box to make sure it was empty.

There was a thump in the box. I realized there was a weird capitol i shaped thing in there. I read the instructions slowly. The oval device was supposed to turn mana channeled into it into thread. The other thing was to keep the thread from becoming a mess. There were images depicting how it was supposed to be wrapped around the other device.

They were both simple to operate so I was pretty sure I could figure them out even if I hadn't been given instructions. I flipped the paper over, and there was an online address for shipment on the other side. Soren made good on his word. Smart kid. I decided to test the device out, and see if I really could made thread out of my mana with this thing.

I closed my eyes, and started focusing my mana into the device. It sucked it up greedily. I spent fifty mana on making thread in less than a minute. I decided to stop there for now. When I opened my eyes I realized something. Something really irritating as I stared at the black thread I'd made.

I'd only made about five inches of thread. I looked at the thread closer. There were streaks of of silver, gold, and blue barely visible on the thread. Shit. If it really took ten mana per inch of thread then it would be a while before I could make enough for the wolves to even attempt to make me some clothes.

Irritation flashed through me. I picked up my thread making stuff, and stuck it all back in the box it came it. Setting it all on the floor next to the desk. I could make more thread before I went to bed each night since I would be able to refill my reservoir while sleeping. I just needed to keep enough to camouflage myself in an emergency.

Ethan opened his door, and rubbed his eyes.

"Do you want me to hypnotize you before your club meeting?" I rubbed the back of my head.

"No," Ethan shook his head, "I need to get used to handing myself without your help."

"Then I'll be heading to my club," I turned to leave the room, "Just let me know if you need anything."
