Chapter 107 - Pushing all the wrong buttons. On purpose.

I was excused from pretty much everything physical for the entirety of the physical class. Once I got back to the dorm I got a lecture from Savannah as well as Ethan for doing something so stupid. I didn't really care. That little spat was just a little stress relief for me. It felt good to use that guy as a punching bag especially since he'd probably done the same to others.

My tail twitched slightly as I pretended to feel bad for worrying Savannah, and Ethan. They knew I didn't really mean it which just added to their irritation. They spent several hours lecturing me. Ethan was mostly quiet for most of the lecture, but that just riled her up more.

"We have clubs tomorrow," I cut Savannah off mid rant, "I don't know about you, but I don't want to draw attention to myself by napping with Goliath in charge."

"You're not getting out of this that easily," Savannah clenched her fists, and crossed her arms.

"I don't feel guilty for beating up a jerk who was only there to help steal credits from students," I snorted picking up my head from where I laid it on the floor, "You, and I both know that you're wasting your breath."

Savannah looked down at me since I'd only raised my head a foot or two off the floor.

"You're going to pick more fights aren't you?" Savannah looked pissed.

"Probably," I brought my head the rest of the way up, "Being cooped up like this makes me ancy, and for me, fighting is kind of a requirement for me to get stronger."

"Picking fights could get you caught that much sooner," Savannah rubbed her forehead, "What are you going to do if one of the teachers gets ahold of you while you're wearing another face? It wouldn't take them long to figure out who you are with your ID strapped to your wrist. What if the spell backlashes on you or you run out of mana mid fight?"

"I'll have to deal with the challenges as they come," I yawned, "Getting found out is more of a when not if type of thing. It won't be much longer until I don't fit into this room anymore so we should already be planning for the worst. As far as the fight goes, you're right, I need to be more careful about where, and when I decide to beat up some random jerk. I'll try to lure my enemies into less public settings for all the real fighting."

My wings twitched as I debated on how I could shoot down their next argument. I wasn't willing to stop picking fights. I needed real life experience, and some game wouldn't give me that. Preferably take some damage during each fight. I could tell how much damage I would take from each attack before they landed so I could avoid the more dangerous attacks, and take only the ones that would hurt me but not kill me.

It made me wonder how much damage I needed to take to raise my points.

"You can't just pick fights," Savannah yelled.

"I'm not going to stop," I snorted, "Believe it or not fighting makes me stronger."

I yawned as I scooted back into my room, and started getting comfy.

"There's something I wanted to try sometime soon," I narrowed my eyes at Savannah to hopefully keep her quiet for a little bit while I was talking, "I have this inner world I go to when I sleep. I think I can bring you there with me." I mulled it over for a few seconds as I waited for the information to sink in, "My inner world doesn't affect anything outside in the real world. I've been practicing magic in there when I get the chance. I want to bring you into my inner world sooner rather than later."

"How exactly are you going to get us into this inner world of yours?" Savannah frowned, "And why would we be able to get in to your inner world?"

"I thought we could try meditation first," I chuckled mostly to myself, "I think it'll be a good way to strengthen our bonds as well as our skills."

"How does it work?" Ethan broke his silence quietly.

"Not entirely sure," I yawned.

Flinching back, and snapping my mouth closed when my fangs extended with a quiet snick sound. They seemed to extend, and retract naturally when my mouth was open completely. It was an annoyance since they started pumping out venom each, and every time. I made a face as I swallowed what little venom they'd pumped out this time. I raised my head back up to my full laying down height as I thought about what to tell them.

They didn't know about the system so I was unsure of how to explain exactly why I wanted them to meditate.

"Part of your mind is already in my inner world right now," I almost yawned again, "I can access my inner world just by going into a dream like state, but if you guys meditate while I'm in this state you might be able to pull yourselves into my inner world."

"So those times when you feel like you're awake when you're sleeping are you entering your inner world," Ethan seemed to forget Savannah was there at all, "You do it fairly often. Do you still get proper rest when you're in that state?"

"Yes, Ethan, relax," I let my head droop, "I barely get enough sleep as it is. I wouldn't sacrifice more to play with magic."

"How will I know if I manage to get in?" Ethan climbed off his chair, and sat down on the floor with his legs crossed, "You said you fall into a dreamlike state so does that mean you fall asleep often when trying to enter your inner world."

"I have to let my body go into a deep sleep," I huffed, "So I only get one or two chances at it each night, and I don't go into my inner world every time so no guarantees."
