Friday went pretty much the same as thursday. Luckily for me Mr. Earl wasn't watching me in fitness class this time. My whole day was going pretty well overall. Savannah met us back at our dorm room.
"Why did you go play VR yesterday?" Savannah whispered at me angrily as I passed her going into the dorm room.
"I can explain that," I pulled my shirt off as she walked into the dorm room behind me, "But not now. Now I need to get a couple vials, and sell some of my venom."
"Venom?" Savannah sounded confused, but looked like she understood.
"Yeah," I strode into my room, "My venom."
Kicking the door shut as I tossed my shirt in the corner. My pants followed a few seconds later. Switching forms while maneuvering myself so I was facing the door. I nudged the door open quickly, and settled halfway into the common area.
"So you did turn that guy to stone," Savannah was leaned up against the wall by the bathroom, "Side effect of the Basilisk crystal?"
"Yes," I nodded slowly, "But it will probably work to my advantage."
"How can having deadly liquids in your mouth work to your advantage?" Savannah crossed her arms skeptically.
"For one," I snorted, "I'm immune to Basilisk venom now, and I have a steady supply of a rare resource." I paused, "For two. I can inject Basilisk venom into enemies if I need to as a last resort."
"You're sure that you're immune to Basilisk venom?" Savannah kept her arms crossed skeptically.
I opened my mouth just enough that one of my fangs was out, and pressed on the venom pouch. Raising my hand so the black venom that oozed out fell in my palm. Letting out just enough to make a little bloop of venom. I dipped the tip of my tail in that blip, and touched the rug with it. The rug hissed for a second as it turned to stone.
I licked the rest of my venom off my hand, and grimaced as I swallowed the nasty liquid. Then opened my mouth to show Savannah the inside.
"See," I drew my head back up, "Lethal to everyone else, but I can even swallow it without anything happening."
"Are you sure it doesn't hurt you when you swallow it?" Savannah snorted.
"Do I look like I'm in any pain?" I thumped my tail to punctuate the question, "You have access to my emotions. Do you feel any pain mixed in?"
Savannah frowned as she uncrossed her arms slowly.
"No," She looked down, "You don't feel like you're in any pain."
"Selling the occasional vial of venom will keep me set up on credits for the most part," I started tapping my talons on the floor, "That goes for you two as well. We should invest in some better gear. Mostly for you two."
"We should get you some armor," Ethan piped up quietly.
"Why?" I snorted, "So I can almost never wear it." I paused, "Nevermind the fact that I'm growing too fast for any armor to fit my real body for long. That is if you could explain why you would need armor for a beast in the first place."
I narrowed my eyes as I let my point sink in.
"I'd like to sell a vial of my venom," I started tapping my talons on the floor, "How should we go about it?"
"Selling Basilisk venom is risky," Savannah crossed her arms, "You should use an anonymous account. The more untraceable the better. How do you plan to get your venom out to sell?"
"My venom doesn't burn through metal or stone," I cocked my head, "Plus there's a couple types of synthesized rubber my venom won't burn through. We'll have to make a special order."
"How long will it take for a special order like that to come through?" Savannah was still giving me that dirty look.
"Ethan," I smiled slowly as I looked at him, "Has already ordered them."
Savannah turned her gaze on Ethan, "You didn't really order them already?"
Ethan smiled nervously as he pulled up his bag.
"You already got them?" Savannah snapped angrily.
"Rush order," Ethan kept his head down as he pulled a small box out of his bag.
"It was Ethan's idea to sell my venom in the first place," I felt my tail tick back, and forth slowly, "With how quickly I destroy uniforms, and how much my appetite has been growing, credits are going to become a problem."
Savannah looked at me. Up than down.
"That's a good point," Savannah seemed subdued for now.
"I'll fill a vial today," I took the box from Ethan, "Then I'll sell it tomorrow after the club meeting is over. Club days are shorter than regular days so it shouldn't be a problem." I opened the box carefully, "I'm more worried about Goliath."
"Goliath?" Savannah frowned, "Why are you worried about him?"
"Same reason you should be worried about him," I coiled my tail up around my body slowly, "He suspects me of having magic already. You really think he's not going to question me coming back alive after our whole rift adventure."
"We both came back alive," Savannah chuckled, "He'll probably think that I brought you back alive like everyone else."
"Goliath has seen me fight Savannah," My tail started ticking back, and forth a little faster, "He's not going to believe that I just let you rescue me."
"He's not going to have a choice," Savannah glanced over to Ethan, "It's not like he has any proof of anything." She stared at Ethan for a few seconds, "Why are you so quiet around me?"
"Ethan's afraid of people," I thumped my tail, "Last time I checked you're a person."
"What do you mean he's afraid of people?" Savannah looked at me, "He's a person too."
"Of all the weird phobias," I snorted, "He won't tell me where he got this phobia either."

Sorry about the lack of chapters lately. Babies have started to drop around here, and I've was busy feeding a pair of adorable twins. Newborns require a lot of attention. I no longer have to focus on them so I can get back to work.
