To Saboreth the hunt was the perfect time for him to prove himself. He was the student of the greatest warrior in the kingdom and he wanted to prove he deserved his master. Also he was certain his master would respect him more if he returned with the head of the demon.
Saboreth did not really want to carry a head around, but he used the phrase in his thoughts.
Saboreth's companions were other disciples of well known warriors. There was Dina the apprentice of a master archer, Halk the disciple of a renowned martial artist and Sarah a skilled healer who Saboreth had a crush on.
The party was all of Saboreth's closest friends and they had not hesitated when he asked them to join him. No other soldiers had dared joined the hunting party and Saboreth was extremely grateful, even though he would never tell them.
