I quickly wiped the tears from my eyes, unsure what to say to Yukano who was obviously broken up. I had never seen my elegant teacher in such a state before and as she turned towards me, she was also crying.
The reason could only be my departure, but I was rather surprised. We had never had that one moment that draws people together, the one moment where the walls around one's mind are broken. We had maintained a cordial relationship with nothing out of the ordinary, but somehow we both felt the great bond.
Yukano gave me a quick hug before she composed herself and left the room, leaving me in the wash of my emotions.
I had no idea what to say. I had no idea what to do.
A few minutes later, Yukano returned to the room carrying a small package in her hands. Her eyes were no longer watery and she had returned to her usual graceful self.
With a resolute gaze she stopped before me and very formally pushed the small package into my hands.
