~Sue's POV~
Ever since I found out, Ad was smoking; I've been keeping a good eye on him. I've been taking him to therapy, getting him on meds, and helping him with stressful situations. It seems like it's working, but I'm not entirely sure since I can't see him at home. He confessed to me that day, and every now and then, he tries to bring it up a bit, but I shut it down with excuses. It's not that I don't like him or don't want to talk about it... I just don't... Know what to do.
I was walking in the hallways with Alyra, "Ugh-" I groaned as she noticed me, "What happened?" She asked as I shook my head, "I still don't have a place to stay- My cousins are still out of town." I said as she grabbed my phone, "What about your kitty cat friend?" She rang up, Kitty, as I panicked.
"Hey, Su Su- What's up?" Kitty answered as Alyra grinned at me, blushing in annoyance. "Hey Kitty, I'm in a bit of a pickle-" I said, "What is it? Did something terrible happen?" She asked in worry, "I'm homeless..." "WHAT! DO YOU NEED HELP?!" She panicked as I sighed, "Ok, look. I just need a place t-" "SAY NO MORE! I OFFER MY HOUSE TO YOU! JUST GET A BUS TO MY HOUSE AFTER SCHOOL!" She hung up immediately,
Quickly I saw she sent me an already paid virtual pass for the public bus close to a stop near her house- "I like that girl." Alyra smirked as I rolled my eyes. "Me too..." I whispered.
/Time skip/
I was walking away from school in a hurry- "I need to get to Kitty's house." Earlier in the morning, Alyra helped me pack up my stuff since I had to leave.
Her mom didn't make me- I just know I can't stay there any longer because I need to find a place to stay for a while. It's not my forever home; it's just for now. I was waiting for the bus- "SUE!"
~Ad's POV~
I spotted Sue at the bus stop and yelled her name, quickly I arrived in front of her. "Oh, hi, Ad." She said. "Hey, I wanted to talk," I asked as she nodded, "Sure, what is it?" I saw the bus come up and she got on, I followed right behind, and we sat together. "Since when did you take the public bus?" I asked as she stared away, "I'm sleeping over a friend's place for a few days because we haven't seen each other for a while." I saw her eyes twitch- she's lying...
"Which friend?" "Kitty." She stared dead in my eyes; she's telling the truth now, but what's the lie?
"Who's Kitty again?" I asked in annoyance. "Remember the girl at my birthday party who was following me? That's my best friend- Kitty." She explained. Ah, right, Justin said Kitty is my competition. "Sue, can we talk about last week?" I looked at her as she seemed confused- "But I've been helping you with-" "Not my smoke addiction... I mean, my confession." I explained as we both started to blush.
"Ad, not to be rude; however, I can't deal with this right now. I have feelings for you as well, but I have no idea what those feelings are... And after what you said to me the other day- you've confused me more." She sighed, tearing up- "I'm sor-" "You can apologize all you want and me being who I am will accept it... But I will never forget your words." She said as I looked away in anxiety.
"I'm sorry to make you anxious, but I can't give you an answer right now... and I will probably never be able to provide you with one." She severely said as I gulped. The bus stopped as she got up, "This is my stop." She wiped her eyes, "Please call me later..." I asked as she shrugged, "Maybe."
