Backstory:
Solea is Latin for "horseshoe." Yup Solea was named after a horseshoe. Apparently, her mom was a religious type of person who believed in luck and warding off evil. So when she had Solea she was ready to,call her horseshoe but realized how horrible that was...than she decided on Solea even if it means horseshoe. So the name Solea stuck and she grew used to it. Her mother thought of Solea as a charm and was able to ward off evil, so she kept her close.
Solea was never aloud to go outdoors and was not aloud to make friends. She soon grew lonely and sad. She didn't grow up like any normal child, her mother made sure she had knowledge on the supernatural and superstition. Her mother was also a paranoid person, why? Everyone believed her to be a witch because of all her weird beliefs.
Her mother would have herbs and spices hanging by the windows. Their would also be horseshoes and other weird objects hanging around her. She also did a rain dance for rain during a drought. The village thought she cast an incantation to cause the drought. One day, the village had enough. They went to her house and dragged Solea's mother out of her house. They tied her to the stake and burned her. Even if Solea's mother wasn't the best, she was still her mother. She shouted to the village she wasn't a witch. They didn't believe her and called her the witch's spawn.
Every time they saw her they would chase her and hurt her. They never killed her, only made her suffer. She started to stay in the house more often. The day everyone lost their happiness and joy, they came to her. Begging her to let them feel happy again. She knew how, but she refused. She never helped them, what have they ever done for her? Nothing. She'll do the same to them. Nothing........
Until she met the little blonde girl. She wanted to get the happiness and joy back. She asked for Solea's help. She denied. The girl persisted. Solea soon saw what happened to the world. It was sad and so bleak. The village was the only one to treat her horribly but never the whole world. They didn't hurt her...only the village. She decided to go save the world with this blonde girl. But what the blonde girl...."Buttercup" didn't know, was that she was going to use the stone to make her village miserable....to suffer....
