Chapter 8 - A Place to Adjust

We landed abruptly onto the sand. It was pitch black but a crescent moon lit the ground. "Well Abraham, welcome to earth." I clutched onto him as he stared at the sky. he's probably never even seen stars before. I checked my surroundings and was shocked. Human civilization was everywhere, building and structures I had never seen before. Even the air had a different smell when I took a deep breath. "It's too crowded now I can't go there. "The pyramids! they must still be here!" I began walking away from the lights of the city and further into isolation. "Abraham there must be so much you don't know. I really failed you." he took his eyes off the moon and stared into mine. He smiled and cuddled me. My heart squeezed in my chest and I tried to hold back tears. "I promise I will never let you go again".

We had been walking for a while before I finally saw a familiar structure. "Thank Divinity!" They looked more worn than when I last saw them, but they were standing strong. I picked up the pace and began to run. I cam up against the smallest pyramid and searched around for my target. A stone brick significantly darker than the rest caught my attention. I pushed it in and a small door formed in its place. "What a childish way of hiding something I'm surprised no one has found it yet." I descended the sandy staircase and was met with another door that which I alone had the key. "Abraham this place is your father's and I's favorite place. He made it as a gift for my pregnancy with you". Memories flooded my head of my love and I couldn't help my tears. A small hand gripped my shoulder pulling me out of my trance. "Oh dear, well I hope it's still as I remember". I pressed the palm-shaped button perfectly shaped to mine. A cool breeze cooled my flushed skin and the smell of citrus hit my nose. Lights illuminated the underground tavern. The sound of a gentle waterfall filled the pond of glowing blue water. A familiar sitting area caused a pain in my chest. It was pink, my favorite color surrounded by a sheer white veil. We only got to sit there once. I took Abraham off my back and set him down on the stone floor. "We will be safe here. I have so much to teach and tell you. You were born to do great deeds Abraham". His eyes were curious and unknowing but it's my job to fill them with wisdom.

My love, I don't know where you are or when we'll meet again but I promise your legacy will never die!
