With only a thought, Henry opened up his status menu and took his first look at his status.
Name: Fisherman
Level: 1
Class: Unassigned
Health: 20
Strength: 10
Constitution: 10
Dexterity: 10
Intelligence: 10
Charisma: 10
"Hmm... Why is my class unassigned?" Henry thought aloud, swiftly receiving a response inside his mind.
"Classes will be assigned at level 5. The choices you receive may change depending on whether certain requirements are met."
He then opened his inventory and looked at the beginners equipment he was given.
Beginner's sword (common)
Damage: 5-7
Weight: 900 grams (2 pounds)
Description: A mass-produced sword often used by beginner adventurers. Not particularly well balanced or sharp, but will get the job done.
Beginner's Leather armour, boots & greaves (set) (common)
Defence: 5
Weight: 4 kg (10 pounds)
Description: A mass-produced set of leather armour. Not very comfortable or effective, but will protect against some damage.
"Hmm... I suppose it'll do." Henry thought to himself.
And so, equipped with his beginner's leather armour and sword, he delved into the crowds, marvelling at the verisimilitude that Simulacrum had achieved.
Many people called out, advertising their wares and services. Enticed by their calls, he used the ten silver pieces he had been given to sample the various delicacies, eating many different fruits and meats.
"Shit, I ran out of money!" He exclaimed aloud, receiving many looks of confusion and contempt at his misfortune. The fat sum of 0 stuck like glue in his mind, and he forced himself away from the marketplace.
Henry manoeuvred through the crowds, eventually coming across a less populated area, where a small lady, presumably in her sixties, was pacing back and forth with a look of desperation and worry. She saw Henry and her countenance lit up as if she had seen Moses part the red sea.
"Y-you! Please, you have to help my daughter!" She pleaded.
"Uhh... What?" Henry asked, confused by her statement.
"Your armour! I- I've seen it around here before. My daughter, she was taken by those wretched goblins! You must help her, I will pay well!" She pleaded once again. Shortly after, a ring was heard in his mind and a small panel appeared before him.

"Uh... I'll try I guess," Henry replied, still somewhat worried over the prospect of fighting goblins, but the money was something too good to turn down.
"Thank you! Thank you!" She exclaimed, grasping his hands in relief.
Henry continued along down the path, eventually reaching the edge of Ainsley, and got his first look at the outside world. Ainsley was a town in the outskirts of the Kingdom of Herald and was surrounded by acres of farmland. Just in the outskirts of the farmland, Henry could see the edge of the forest in which the goblins in question resided, and set off on his first quest.
He walked along the dirt path, eventually veering away from it and arrived inside the woods before long. He wandered around inside it for a good 30 minutes before he found anything of note.
The ground was uneven and hurt his ankles, and he had to be careful where he trod in order to avoid falling over the roots of trees.
"I swear to God if I don't see some goblins soon I'm going to stab myself." Henry cursed, trudging through the dark and damp woods, subconsciously moving his hand to the hilt of his sword.
Faintly, he heard the distant rustling of leaves and snapping twigs. Startled, he whips out his sword and points it in the direction of the noise. He sees a small, greenish-yellow figure with pointed ears wielding a spear wander round some trees, glancing over at Henry.
It readies it's spear, cautiously approaching while getting ready to strike.
"U-uh... Stay back!" Henry yells, waving his sword wantonly at the creature.
Amused, the creature dashed forward, thrusting its spear into Henry's leg.
[5 damage taken]
"Ow!" Henry shouts out in pain. Although it is dulled down, pain is pain and it causes Henry to close his eyes and begins to wave his sword wildly, feeling the sword occasionally rip through the flesh of the creature.
[Dealt 5 damage]
[Dealt 3 damage]
[Dealt 3 damage]
"Kyaaak!! Blergh.." The creature yells out.
[Killed woodland goblin (lvl 2)]
[gained 7 experience]
Henry opened his eyes, looking down at the grizzly sight of the goblin with deep lacerations across it's face.
".Oh god..." Henry exclaimed as the recently bought meals make their way back out of his stomach, spraying over the goblin's corpse.
"Aw, man... I spent all my money on that..." He said in disappointment, before wobbling away from the corpse.
"I'm never doing that again... I just wanted to fish..."
