Arata Saito was a quiet 19 year old. He spent most of his time playing games.He had black hair and lean build. Nothing really stood about him other than his subtle good looks.
He would usually play for 18 hours a day, he didn't need to work since he made money from online tournaments. Arata was praised in the online community as a gaming prodigy, however though he always kept his identity anonymous. His favorite game was a game called World-Line an MMORPG. The game launched 3 years ago and instantly garnered the attention of gamers all around the world. In the game you could choose between different races and classes. Arata was High Human, his class was a Swordsman.
"Phew another win, looks like I don't have to worry about rent this month"
Arata leaned back in his chair as looked at his screen that currently displayed the words 'Victory'. The monitor currently lit up dark room.
"Well, guess I'll go heat up some ramen"
He walked over to his cabinet which was usually full of ramen only to find it empty.
"Huh? I guess I did run out yesterday, guess I'll go grab some more."
The corner store was a short walk from his apartment so he would usually walk there at night when the sun wouldn't bother him. Tonight was a Saturday, which is usually the time he leaves for the store so he slipped on his shoes and left.

"It's kind of cold tonight. I hate this weather and I can't wait for some hot ramen."
Arata could not help but smile as he thought of the ramen noodles he was about to eat. While thinking about it, he heard a voice yelling in his direction.
"Hey! Give me all your money and we can both walk away from this," the voice shouted.
Arata quickly turned only to see a scrawny man with torn clothes, pointing a rusty knife at him.
"I don't have much but take it, just don't hurt me," Arata said.
The scrawny man snorted and said, "you type of guys are always the easiest".
This clearly wasn't his first time mugging someone.
The scrawny man approached and took the money Arata was holding out. Once he took it, he retreated a few steps back and waved to Arata gesturing him to leave while counting the cash. Arata held a calm expression but was boiling with anger, but suddenly a crazy thought entered his head. 'Defeat the man in front of you.'
Arata dashed out in full sprint with his fist ready to meet the face of the thief. Before the punch landed, he pivoted his foot to add more power to the blow hoping to knock the thief unconscious.
*BOOM*
The thief staggered back a few steps, clearly dazed. Arata used this opportunity to land another punch, however the thief in a panic thrust his knife in front of him and pierced through Arata's abdomen.
Arata fell back looking at the rusted knife through his stomach. He had never felt pain like this before. The thief ran away instantly, not daring to stay a moment longer.
Arata was writhing in pain and his mind flooded with thoughts of his wasted life. He wished he could've been like the characters in his game, undefeatable. He wished he could've been transported to a world like that game, full of magic and untouched from modern day industrialization. The thoughts kept overpowering his mind when he suddenly heard an unusual ring in his ear.
System: Do you wish to be transported to Evanlore Kingdom?
-Accept- or -Decline-
Time remaining: "10 seconds"
"Evanlore Kingdom? I've never heard of this place before.. could my wish really be coming true?"
Time remaining: "5 seconds"
"Accept, I accept!!"
System: Beginning transportation
Time remaining: "30 seconds"
Arata's vision went dark. The last thing he saw was his body start to fade away. All he could do was slip into the darkness consuming him.
System: Transportation complete
Arata, now laying in the middle of a forest, suddenly sat up.
"Huh, where am I? Wait, wasn't I just stabbed a second ago?"
He softly touched his stomach and looked in complete shock. The rusty knife that was inside him was now gone, with only a hole in his jacket where the knife was present. He immediately shot to his feet and to his surprise, he felt completely fine as if the incident had never happened.
He was currently standing in small field with flowers and knee high grass. He heard the sound of rushing water, yet every direction he turned he could only see trees.
"What's this?"
He noticed a blue circle in the bottom left of his vision. It was small but no matter where he turned his head, the circle stayed in the same place.
The moment he focused on that blue circle a screen appeared in his vision which looked as if it belonged inside a video game.

"No way, am I actually in a a different world right now?" Arata quickly but thoroughly inspected the profile panel.
"This cant be real, just a moment ago I was bleeding out"
Arata tried to think of every possibility but could only come up with one. He got transported to another world.
"I thought stuff like this only happened in Anime"
As he stared at the Profile screen, trying to wrap his mind around his current situation he noticed another tab in the panel.
"Huh, attributes?"
Upon saying so, a new panel opened but with a different title.
