"HEY! HEY! COME BACK HERE, YOU THIEF!" I screamed breathing heavily because of the exhaustion, I have been chasing the thief that stole my phone and I can't chase him because of the crowd and I am also not good at running, I stopped for a minute because I just lost him, Where is he? I looked around and I can see that people are all looking at me because I have been screaming all the time while running, of course, I will get there attention, as I was looking around one man looking at me caught my attention,
"YOU'RE SO DEAD!" I shouted when I saw him checking if I spotted him, He was wearing a black long coat so I did not saw his face because he was covering it using his black coat whenever I saw him looking at me, I have to catch him or else I will lose a lot of important information inside my phone,
I was finally going to catch up to him when suddenly I lost him again! Shoot! What a professional runner! My legs are hurt...
"Li! Where are you.... going?"Mimi asked catching his breath, he was following me,
" Mimi questions later... I just lost my phone...." I said while looking around again, I was about to give up chasing after the man when suddenly...
"HEY, YOU!!!" I finally caught up with him!!
"He-Hey What are you doing?"He asked I looked at his hands he was holding my phone and he was wearing the same coat so I am sure that he's the culprit.....
"You thief! Mimi Call the police, " I ordered to mimi, He then quickly dialed the police's number while I am holding the man's coat to avoid him escaping from me,
"What do you think you are doing? Who are you? Why are you calling the police?" He asked so I quickly took my phone from his hand and showed it to him while still holding his coat,
"This is yours?" He asked I am pissed, He looks like he's plotting something here, He's playing innocent,
"It's mine and of course you know that because you stole it from me, "
"I did not! I picked it up on the floor, "
"What are you saying, you liar? why would I believe a thief?"
"I said I did not steal it from you, I saw it laying on the floor so I took it, I was about to give it to the lady who's in charge in the lost in found when you suddenly appeared, " He argued, I glared at him while bringing my face close to him and He was also doing the same thing,
"You are a thief...." I said but he smirked, Is he trying to annoy me more, If so, It's working alright,
"How are you so sure?"
"I am sure, and I will prove it to the police, I will make sure you are going to jail for stealing, "
"What is the matter here?" The police said they just arrived but there's just two of them,
"He stole my phone, " I said, I looked at the man and he was also looking at me so I rolled my eyes at him, He's pathetic for stealing my phone, He doesn't have work or anything That's why he's stealing phones?
"I did not steal anything from her officers, If you checked the CCTVS around this area then you will see me picked up her phone, " The man explained, Again with his sill reason,
"Don't believe him, officers, If you're real police officers then you will sense who's lying or not, right? Just arrest him already" I asked,
" Well Miss, Actually that's not right, We arrest people based on what we observe and not what we sense, We don't arrest someone without a solid proof so we are going to check the CCTV just like this man said, " The officer said,
"What?! "
"Ma'am if he's telling lies then he will be sent straight to jail but if he's not and he is telling us the truth then there's no reason for me to arrest him and that'll mean you just wasted our time, " The officer said, He's annoying me! it felt like they are working together to embarrass me and annoy me!
"Li will never waste someone else's time, I saw this man stole her phone, He was wearing the same coat I am sure of it so he's a thief officer, stop being so ridiculous and just arrest him! " Mimi shouted while pointing at the man getting so mad,
"Look Mister, this coat has about thousands or millions of copies in the entire country, So we can't arrest him now Like I said we have to check the CCTV, " the officer said calmly, I have to stay calm too since it looks like the man is enjoying the fact that I am so annoyed right now,
"Fine officer, Let's check the CCTV, and let's see who's time is being wasted, Mine or yours?" I said and so the two officers started walking while Mimi, Me and The man followed them,
"Excuse me miss we are police officers, " the police said showing the lady his badge.....
"Pfft..... Of course, you are, that's why you're wearing a police officers uniforms, " I whispered holding back from laughing, I mean, Why to introduce yourself as police officers when you are already wearing a police officer's uniforms it's too obvious, It's like asking your own name to yourself.....
"can we check your CCTV we have a slight PROBLEM here, "
"Sure sir, Right this way, " The lady said smiling and then showed us the way, We entered a room that's dark inside but the big monitors are brightening up the room,
"Hello, sir what can we do for you?" A man asked, my guess is he's the one operating the CCTVS
"What time did you lost your phone?" The officer asked me,
"20 Minutes ago, "
"Where did you lost your phone?"
"Near the exit of the airport, "
"Can you show us the playback for 7:30 Am near the exit if this airport?" The officer asked the man operating the CCTVS
"Of course officer, " He said and then went back to his chair, Typed something on the keyboard just in front of him on the table, and then pushed enter, I looked closely to see if I am going to see myself calling Cassidy which has happened 20 minutes ago,
"Li! That's us, " Mimi said because he just saw us walking towards the Airport's exit,
"I have eyes Mimi, I can see it, " I said, Minutes waiting Finally! They saw that I am not lying to them,
"See, I told you, that man stole my phone, " I said
"But that's not proof that this man is the one who stole your phone since the man was covering his face using the same coat that this man is wearing right now, So, Sir can I ask where are you around this time?" The officer asked the man, Seriously?
"I was walking to go to the exit since I just arrived from Spain when suddenly I found her phone on the floor, " The man said,
"Sir, can you play the time when the people who traveled from Spain arrived?" The officer ordered and so the man obeyed his order, Why can't they just accept the truth that this man stole my phone and he is lying right into our face.....
"Li! Look!" Mimi said I was looking at the man so I didn't see the playback, I looked at the screen and I can't believe it.....
"See, I am telling truth, I didn't steal your phone, Now if you excuse me, miss and officers, I have to go, " He said and then smirked at me, He's annoying!
"Wha-What? Stop right there! " I shouted while chasing him because he was now outside of the room,
"What? Are you going to accuse me that I stole your underwear from you? Try to wear something that will really cover your body," He said, He looked at me from bottom to top which made me want to slap him right into his face but he left....
"Li! What are you going to do now?" Mimi asked,
"Mimi! I am so annoyed right now!"
"Ma'am because we saw that someone really stole your phone then we are going to get to arrest and investigate the man who really stole it from you, but in order to do that we will have to find the real, culprit," The officer said and then left us too but before completely leaving us the other officer turned around and then winked at me....
