Haven's candidates didn't hesitate to attack the two Principalities at all, not even after watching the Stage two Knight destroy their allies with a simple Vitality construct. While their attacks didn't mean much to him, (Hell, he doubted if they'd be able to penetrate through his armor if they didn't have those high-Class weapons) they did pose a problem to Marcus, who didn't really have a way to recover his energy besides resting and constantly downing their energy replenishment items. The initial charge into Haven drained the Mage of almost a quarter of his energy reserves, and the battle to get here left him at nearly forty percent of his peak state.
