Martin Mccoy sighed as he skimmed through the last paragraph of his paperwork. Clicking his pen and putting his signature on the blank line at the bottom.
This is what his life's been like ever since that day Sterling had his damned press conference. Hours upon hours of work to get his company in the loop again.
From getting help from clients to coming up with original car designs, Martin has been working around the clock to get things back to normal.
His son, Rodrick, has been trying to help in his own way by working to win any race happening around town. So far, he's only won a few. But it'll take more than just a few races for him to regain his fame.
The fame that the Sterlings took from them.
But, it's not like Martin liked the fame. He started Mccoy Auto Industries to provide the world unique vehicles to use. Not to become famous.
And he didn't force his son to become a professional car racer. His son chose his own path. Just like he did. But his path was carved in a different way.
One that he wanted to forget ever since he met his wife Veronica.
Was it really a good idea to go back to VILE? To go back to being a..villain?
Martin felt a pang pf guilt hit his stomach. If he chose to go to VILE, they would make him play as one of their toys again. But, if he didn't, then..what could he possibly do?
Martin sighed, burying his head in his hands. He was too stressed out to think this through right now.
Maybe after a warm cup of tea he would be able to focus.

Trey Sterling walked into his father's office with poise, seeing the older man sitting at his desk. Going over some files he recently got.
"You wanted to see me, Dad?" Trey asked, settling himself into a red velvet chair set across from his father.
Sterling Sterling looked up from the file he was reading and smiled at his son.
"Ah, yes son! I did." Sterling said, pushing the many papers and notebooks he had on his desk.
Trey rolled his eyes. "Yeah, well, I'm here now. What do you need?" He asked, impatiently.
Sterling cleared his throat. "Well, our recent success in Dubai has gotten me thinking-what if Zack and Ivy could be of more use to us than just being gifted in racing and crafting?" He asked, handing Trey one of the files he was viewing earlier.
"Not just Zack and Ivy, though. That woman who was with them-there's more to her than we thought."
Trey frowned when he remembered that woman sitting in the bleachers when he and his father spoke to Zack and Ivy back at Dubai Auto.
He then looked down at the file and saw that it was about that woman.
Trey read over the first few paragraphs and he was shocked at what he read.
'
Name: Carmen Sandiego
Age: Unknown (possibly mid 20s)
Nationality: South American
Race: Argentinean
Occupation: Super Thief
Birthplace: Unknown
History:
Carmen Sandiego first made her debut as a thief a few months after the unsolved Morocco heist. Set to steal the Eye of Vishnu.
But, local law enforcement agency Interpol found the artifact sitting in between a couple of couch cushions, indicating that Carmen did not steal it. She kept it there as if she possibly wanted them to find it.
Instead, Carmen stole some other item that is still unknown to this very day. No one, not even the best investigators from Interpol or other police departments couldn't figure out what she took.
Carmen's latest appearance seems to be in the Middle East. Dubai, to be exact. She was apparently stealing a high-tech supercar from Al Sibaq Motors.
She also engages in a high speed chase using her motorcycle to catch the culprit who stole the car during its test drive. It is confirmed that Trey Sterling was not the culprit, but the thief was a woman who looks like an average Emirate in Trey's trademark track suit.
Carmen and her team were able to return the car to the track safe and sound after her two teammates made an almost crash landing on a rooftop. '
"So..this Carmen Sandiego is useful to us, how..?" Trey asked, not really getting what his father was trying to point out.
Sterling pressed his index finger in between his eyebrows and sighed. "She is a thief! Seemingly the best out there! She can steal back those designs that Rodrick's father took from us." He said, a plan forming in his head.
Trey smirked. "Now you're talking."
Sterling smiled at his son. "I'm having Nancy book us a flight to San Diego. My friend at the police station said she was recently seen there. Nowhere else."
Trey's smirk didn't dim when he heard the news. "Great. I'll pack my stuff then." He said, standing up and heading to the door.
Before he left, Trey looked back at his father over his shoulder. "And Dad? Thanks."
And with that, Trey walked out of the office. Leaving Sterling all to himself.
He looked back at the file of Carmen. "Carmen Sandiego..you are the only key left to victory." He said, before looking up at a picture of him and Rodrick's father shaking hands.
Which was the cover photo of the news article covering their collaboration before Mccoy Auto Industries took a..dark turn.
"I can't wait to see how you get out of this one.." He said.
"Martin."
