Chapter 26
Yuna's POV
Aoi dragged me up to here and on our way to the clubroom, I saw boys from all year levels lurking outside our club room. I wonder why?
"Eeeeh! What is she doing here?"
I asked Aoi while pointing my finger. We just entered our Karate club room and I was surprised to know Lure is here as well...
She is busy looking and writing in her notebook while checking what other members are doing.
"Did you hit your head somewhere? Please stop wasting time we have to start our training. You have to train hard because you were absent, remember?!#."
Aoi said in a sarcastic tone throwing my karate uniform to my face.
***A moment later
I am doing my stretching and I noticed that all the boys keep on glancing at her from time to time.
Wherever she goes all eyes are following her. Her beauty is really amazing. Is that why we have these so many members and those boys lurking outside.
I have never seen our club full of members before. It really amazes me.
I'm glad to see that they are all training hard as well. Are they all excited about the tournament?
Everyone is so busy practicing...
eh?! hmmm...I noticed they are so fired up every time she passes by on them.
My eyes were half open looking at them. I guess I'm wrong. They are obviously just trying to show-off on her.
I took a sigh...
I can't believe she became our club manager. She doesn't seem to fit here. With her beauty and grace, she is better to be in a club with those elegant and truly refined girls like her.
...I started imagining girls wearing beautiful dresses drinking tea in a garden full of flowers talking to each other gracefully.
Hmmm! That is where she should be...
This place mostly full of boys and always stinking with sweat. I wonder why she chooses to join here?
Eh! She did not join the club just to be with me, right? That couldn't be true?
Why a girl like her will do all of this just for me...
Prior to this, I can't even remember any single interaction with her? I remember everyone talking about how difficult to approach her. But still, boys won't stop chasing her. She is the girl that everyone looks up to and desires to be with...but with all that said...she still became my girlfriend?
It's hard to process....uhhhh!!!
She turns her head to me and she lightly smiles at me with her face slightly turning red then she returns to what she is doing.
I froze there for a moment.
It feels like a cold wind passes by and turns everyone to stone.
I look around and everyone has this dejected look on their faces. Their high energy earlier abruptly went down...
"Uhhh!!! she is so lucky..." Boys are mumbling while grinding their teeth and eh? Are they all crying, seriously?!!!
"Yuna... how long are you going to do stretching THERE!!!" Aoi asked from a distance with a terrifying look on her face.
"Wahhh! Sorry, I'm spacing out again!"
I ran towards Aoi and in my mind while running...
-she is a stranger to me now but I should not ignore her feelings because I can clearly see she is truly in love with me. I should not cause any pain to her or anyone else...I have to start moving forward.
***Evening
Ahhh! I am so exhausted.
We are all standing in front of the school gate after we finished our training.
"You all did good! You are all ready to crush all our opponents next week!" Aoi said on top of her voice with burning passion in her eyes, raising her fist in the air.
"Yes Captain!!!", Everybody shouted on top of their voice as well.
Wow! they are all fired up.
It's amazing they still have energy. All of them almost fall off the ground in exhaustion earlier. When Aoi and Lure combine their training ideas it was like hell. I don't know if they still think we are human. They are dead serious making all of us strong and because I missed training she even prepares harder training for me.
I can only sigh while crying.
One by one they all said goodbye.
"We have to leave. Please take care as you go home."
"Please take care.."
"Thank you for today."
"Ah! Yes please take care."
I replied to each of them with a smile on my face while bowing.
Until I realize that we are the only people left.
The hell this feeling.
It is so awkward to be left alone with her. Lure and I both left standing there without talking. I look at her and her face is just blank.
"Uh? Are you waiting for your driver?"
I asked nervously.
"Yes, I already texted him to pick me up?"
She replied plainly.
"Ahhh..."
I should stay here, right? As her girlfriend...
Then another moment of silence...
Why do I feel bad about this? We could not even keep up a simple conversation. I don't have any idea of how to interact with her.
I wonder how she was with my future self. Is she this stiff? She smiles rarely and most of the time unexpectedly.
(Screech!!!)
Uh? suddenly a van stops in front of us.
They open the window and inside there are men about in their twenties or thirties and they all smell alcohol...
aaaah...it makes me dizzy just by smelling them...
"Are you girls just came out of your school? It's too late. Would you like us to take both of you home?"
I look around. This is bad.
No other people are passing by. We finished too late for training. This is dangerous.
"Uh...sorry but..." I tried to politely turn them down but Lure cut me.
"Get lost...You all smell disgusting." She said straight forward.
(My face turns pale. Is she out of her mind!!!)
I look at her and her face doesn't show any fear at all.
Their jaws dropped and then their faces all curled up.
These men do not like her reply so they all came out from their van.
This is bad. There are eight of them. I wonder what will Lure gonna do with this.
I look at her and she silently looked at me and in her eyes, it's like she is telling me that I can protect her.
Seriously! You spouted words and just leave it all to me!
I step in front of her. How come she acted fearlessly and talk frankly like that?
"There is nothing to be afraid of young ladies. We just really want to offer help"
One of them said with a sly smile. They all look drunk. I don't know if I can fight all of them. I am still exhausted from training. It will be better if we just run.
I turn around and grab Lure's hand.
"Let's go," I said to her then we run as fast as we could.
"Eh! Come on we just want to talk to you pretty young ladies..."
They all chase us.
Ah! They are fast! One of them manages to get in front of us. This man raises both of his arms to his side to block us.
I look behind and they all surrounded us.
I don't have a choice. I have to fight them. I look at Lure and I realize I've been holding her hands tightly and I feel that she is shaking.
We both talk at the same time.
"Sorry!" She said.
"Don't be afraid" I said.
Our faces were too close as our eyes meet again, her face turns all red. I released her hand in an instant and distance a bit. I feel my heart skip a beat.
Seriously? Will, she stops blushing we are in a dangerous situation here.
She is so pretty and that was too close.
"Sorry...Yuna, I guess I put you in trouble again." She said turning her head on the side with both her hands together over her chest.
I breathe out.
"Stop apologizing...I will protect you no matter what!"
"Waah! How sweet are you two beautiful girls are lovers or what?"
The man in front of us said taunting us.
I turn around again to look at them.
"Lure just stay behind me," I uttered to her.
I change to my karate stance.
"Oh! What is this? Are you going to fight us?"
"Hahahaha!" They all began laughing.
The man on my right tried to grab me. I immediately block him and throw his hand aside and kick him in the face. That man falls on the ground unconscious.
They all take a step back when they realize I know how to fight.
"Oh...but will you be able to fight against us if we all attack you at the same time."
They are crazy, they all move to attack us. I just prepare myself to fight them all at the same time but all of a sudden a bag came flying out of nowhere and hit one of them in the face so we all stop and look where it came from.
Someone is standing in the dark. He steps out in the light. That person wearing a helmet, black leather jacket, and jeans.
"You perverts should not be lurking around troubling girls at night. I will make sure you will all learn your lesson tonight."
