Cultivation Realms (2nd Step) (Spoilers)

World Tree:

Having planted one's Dao Seed using their Immortal Meridians as the foundation, the cultivator then has to cultivate the seed and germinate it to grow into a vast tree within their newly formed inner world after achieving Immortal Ascension, nourishing it with energy from the world, and more importantly with insights into the heavenly laws of the Dao to allow their Dao Seed to grow into a proper World Tree. As one absorbs energy from the outside world into their World Tree it grows in height, and as one gains insights into the heavenly laws of the Dao it causes the tree to become thicker and wider. One reaches the peak of the World Tree Realm once the tree reaches 10,000,000 miles in height within the space one has created where their inner world was, however the tree can grow taller than 10,000,000 miles, with how much taller the tree can grow being based purely off of the foundation one created for themselves within the 1st Step of cultivation. The width and thickness of the tree is based purely off of the insights into the heavenly laws of the Dao that a cultivator gains insight into, and the quality and breadth of these insights.

Breath of Life:

The Breath of Life realm involves one stealing a breath of life from every single existence governed by the heavenly laws of the Dao and infusing these breaths into their own inner world to create life on their World Tree, however due to how different worlds and realms have minute differences between their heavenly laws, the amount of life one steals depends on the area that one undergoes the life stealing process in, with a larger area being better. You can take more than one breath however, with the maximum you can take from each living entity being ten, ten from each being, however this act invokes heavenly tribulation upon a cultivator since it is an act in defiance of the heavens, and the tribulation increases in the power it calls down upon cultivators depending on how much life they steal, with the amount of living beings in the world or realm that one undergoes their entry into the Breath of Life realm, and also how many breaths they take from all the living beings within whichever world they enter the Breath of Life realm having a direct effect on the size of their tribulation. Those at the peak of the 2nd step can resist a breath of their life being taken from them, with only people at Immortal Ascension and upwards even noticing a breath of life had been taken from them. If one survives their heavenly tribulation and enters the Breath of Life realm the life force they took can be infused into their World Tree, and then depending on how much life force is sent into one's World Tree, this life force can be converted to create Planets to hover and orbit around the peak of the World Tree and lives will come to exist and grow on these planets, creating a cosmic system with one's World Tree as the centre of all life, within a cultivator's own inner world, with these lives being formed from the breaths of life stolen from the living beings outside. However many planets can be created to accommodate lives is based off of how tall one's tree is, and all these planets will have the affinities and characteristics of these planets based off of the insights and comprehensions into the Dao that a cultivator has comprehended, with the sizes of these planets corresponding to the size of the cultivator's World Tree in terms of its thickness and width, and the number of planets corresponding to the height of one's World Tree, ie the quality of insights of a cultivator into the heavenly laws of the Dao and the quality of a cultivators foundation respectively, and the amount of lives on each planet will correspond to the amount of life stolen during one's breakthrough into the Breath of Life realm. Once one has created all the planets and lives they possibly can within their inner world they are considered to have reached the peak of the Breath of Life realm.

Three Disaster:

The Three Disaster Realm is more of a transitory realm, or rather a prolonged tribulation stage between the Breath of Life realm and the last realm of the 2nd step, however the Three Disaster realm involves three disasters within one's inner world which one must pass, and with each respective disaster that is crossed one's power increases vastly. The first disaster is the withering disaster, where one's world tree, planets and internal life all dry up and enter a state of decay, and one must counteract this by generating large amounts of life force to stop this withering process or delay it as much as possible, after a year is over if one is still alive a vast influx of life force will be injected into one's inner world, being 100 times the amount one stole during their breakthrough into the Breath of Life Realm, causing one's inner world to not only shoot past its previous peak in terms of the quantity and quality of lives within one's inner world, but it also causes celestial bodies such as suns, moons, stars and more to appear within one's inner world among the planets, causing one's inner world to have a much more developed cosmic system from which one can draw power, as well as increasing a cultivator's lifespan even more. The second disaster is the self disaster, where a phantom of the cultivator undergoing the second disaster is created, and it is the equal to the cultivator in its techniques, items, abilities and cultivation base, being an exact copy, and the cultivator must kill it. If one successfully passes the second disaster then their mindset and Dao heart are massively increased, allowing their comprehension abilities and general bearing to be improved massively, as well as reaffirming one's ability to focus on cultivation and their determination to seek the Dao, as well as directly increasing one's power once more. The third and final disaster is one where 90% of those who passed the second disaster failed, and it is known simply as the Man, Earth, Heaven Disaster. In this disaster one is presented with three separate illusions at the exact same time, requiring one to split their focus three separate ways and undergo these three trials at the same time, constituting one overall disaster, the Man, Earth, Heaven Disaster, and in the Man portion of this disaster one is overwhelmed by the emotions of a mortal and what it feels like to be a mortal again, in the Earth portion one is submerged in the emotions of a struggling daoist, a cultivator who lacks natural talent and is unable to achieve his dreams of Immortal Ascension, and finally on the Heaven portion one is presented with an illusion of themselves passing the final disaster and achieving the peak of the 2nd step that oh so few people are ever able to reach in their lifetimes. To pass this disaster one must breakthrough these illusions and extricate oneself within one minute, or their mind will collapse leaving them a husk of a person. If one is able to pass this last disaster, they will receive once more an increase in power in lifespan as well as having their Dao heart be tempered once more, and reach the final realm of the 2nd step, the World Die, Dao Live Realm.

World Die, Dao Live:

One enters this realm immediately after passing the third disaster of the Three Disaster Realm, and within this realm one has to collapse their inner world, World Tree, comic system and all, and then use this energy to form a cosmic canvas and paint a picture using their energy to carve out an image onto this cosmic canvas, with the size of the cosmic canvas being decided entirely from a combination of one's foundation, insights into the Dao and the purity of their Dao heart, with the actual picture being a true expression of one's own understandings of their Dao formed from their life's comprehension of the Dao of the heavens and its laws. While the inner world is collapsing, depending on how large it was and the size of one's World Tree you have a period of anywhere from 100 to 1,000 years to complete your picture, with a completed picture which truly expresses one's own yearning for and understanding of the Dao allowing one to complete the World Die, Dao Live Realm and reach the first stage of the 3rd Step, the One Dao Realm by absorbing one's picture into one's body where their dantian and inner world was, and failure meaning a peaceful passing as though one was a mortal coming to the end of their lifespan. The picture can be anything from a rock to the infinite cosmos, as long as it expresses one's own comprehensions and understandings of their own Dao.
