I just realized something.
Am I really a loner? Come to think of it, I mean I kinda easily became friends with Shinohara-senpai. Wait a minute. Are we really friends? We are just clubmates, I guess. Still, It didn't really bother me talking to her. Was my life completely a lie?!
Maybe I'm just overthinking too much.
Anyways, it's early morning and I just arrived at school. The weather is kinda nice. It's not too cold nor too warm. Students pass by while talking with their friends.
I changed to my indoor shoes as I my gazed locked on a short-haired redhead. I think her name is Amasawa Reina. She's seated next to me in class but we never really talked to each other. She's actually one of the most popular girls in school. I mean, she's the ace player of the school's volleyball team. Many would risk their lives just to be with her. Sadly, she's really not that interested in relationships.
Anyways, she's just standing on the locker holding on what appears to be a letter. A love letter, perhaps? Well, I shouldn't stick my nose on her business. We are not even close. I began to head towards the classroom to learn, I guess.
The usual things happen. I listen to class while occasionally staring at the window so I can look somewhat cool. As usual, I ate lunch alone at my usual spot at the rooftop. I should really try to socialize a little bit.
Classes ended and almost all of my energy has been drained. I don't know if I have the energy to attend club activities. Wait, do we actually have club activities? Okay, fine. I'll appear in the club for now. I also shouldn't risk getting the club president mad at me for missing my first dday as a club member.
I slowly opened the club room door and peeked at it's contents. Shinohara-senpai looks like she's reading something interesting. I wonder what it's about.
"Good afternoon senpai. What are you doing?" I asked curiously.
"Oh. Good afternoon Hakkun! Well, I found this book in the library earlier. It's all about tarot card reading! Well I don't have tarot cards but it's still very interesting, I guess. Wahaha!" she said gleefully.
"Really? Wait a minute-- Hakkun? Don't start giving me embarrassing nicknames senpai!" I said bashfully. "Anyways what are we supposed to do, senpai?"
"I don't know! Wahaha!" She exclaimed proudly.
I don't know what to expected anymore. Seeing the obvious disappointment from my face. Senpai said:
"Awww. Don't be sad Hakkun! Actually, the Student Council is looking for us. We should go there right now." She said as she stood up and rushed to door.
"Wait--right now? What's it even about."
"I think it's about some mysterious phenomenon happening in the campus lately."
"What? Things seemed pretty normal to me. Also, if it's about some mysterious happenings, why the Astrology club? Can we even do anything?"
I barraged Shinohara-senpai with questions because of my confusion. She just smiled and said:
"I don't know. Save the questions for later, Hakkun. The President Nakajima will explain the details later."
Things escalated quickly as I expected.
I'm quite confused on what to expect on this sudden turn of events.
Are we supposed to hunt yokais or something?
I don't know.
