Chereads / Beta Tyler / Chapter 7 - Primord Pack

Chapter 7 - Primord Pack

Tyler

I began to get near our pack's territory. We were probably about ten miles away from entering when I realized the fast glimpse of a rogue wolf. Then another, and another.

I could sense the rush as I thought of how good of a thrill it will be to end these low scumbags. The last time we had a rogue attack, they took my first mate away, they had the advantage of my absence. But this time, I was sure to rip them apart.

I needed to alert my pack, tell them my situation. One thing I like about being a primord is we can mind link each other, even if we are miles away from our pack.

"Blake, I'm coming near our pack's territory, I'm coming home. Guards, stay on the lookout, there are rogues in the area. Make sure I am not being followed too close to our territory." I knew soon as I alerted the guards, there will be wolves running through the forest close to us, but they'd still make sure to stay undetected and take these damn rogues apart.

"Is Emily with you?" My sister, Selene asks with a girlish tone.

I roll my eyes, thankfully Emily was sound asleep. "Yeah, she's with me."

"Eeek!" Selene's shriek made me startled almost making me swerve the car.

"Fuck Sel! Make me crash sis! The situation is bad enough already!" I scuff making her chuckle. "Shut up and bring me, my new sister-in-law! We'll take care of the rogues." She says happily.

"Sel, she doesn't know about my wolf. I haven't explained to her about our mating bond. So please-"

"What do you mean she doesn't know you're her mate yet? That was the whole purpose, Ty!" Selene scolded me as I drove closer.

"It's fucking complicated ok? Just- let the pack know to ease off in the shifting in front of us. She can't see them fighting. I don't want her getting scared. I will tell her at the right time." I spat back. I was not in the best of moods right now.

I stepped on it as much as possible, I was probably going at 110 miles per hour if not more. Just as I took a turn, a wolf hit my side of the car making me swerve, I drifted the car past a deep ledge, my back tire almost going over.

Emily woke up with a jolt. "What's happening?" Her voice was startled and shaking.

"I got this baby. Don't worry. You're safe with me, I promise." I sped, turning the car and hitting the wolf just as he was jumping in the air towards the car.

"What the hell is that? Ty, that wolf was easily three times the size of a wild wolf from these mountains, where the hell did it come from?" She looked back at it as it fell and his body rolled on the floor.

I gripped my steering wheel tight and grunted. I need to control my temper.

It's something I have easily learned to do over the years. But lately, I've been losing my shit easily.

"Guards, attack with full force. Beta Tyler nearing. He's bringing his mate. I need you to memorize her scent. She's still human, it will be our duty as a pack to protect her. Understood?" Blake's alpha voice was heard through the pack.

The fact he was willing to protect my mate made me tense a bit less. One thing for sure, I have my work cut out real good with her.

I just hope I can protect her at any cost. I fear myself. There are many questions unanswered about my past. Questions I have to find answers to myself.

Who my real father is? Why my mother had him killed? Why am I suddenly able to read Emily's mind, if she's still a human? More importantly, can she read mine?

If she ever finds out we have met before, and I made her forget me out of fear she could be hurt, she will probably hate me forever. This was a secret I hoped to keep hidden forever. Hoping that she will never know about this, and she can someday accept me for who I am.

Tyler Slate, Beta to the Primord's Pack.

The oldest, most ruthless pack in all existence. The only known allied tri-pack/ clan of Primord's. Our first existence going back to 5,000 years B.C. allied to the Primord's Lycan pack, and the Primord's clan of vampires.

Maybe this is why everyone fears us. Even the king of werewolves will not dare come near us. By sight, we are just an ordinary pack. But we are untouchable. As far as the rest of the world knows- we don't exist, no one knows about our existence, except for these dumb rogues who have tried to break into our pack for the past twenty or so years.

I halted the car to a stop. I was getting fed up with these stupid rogues. Far in the distance, I could hear our guards battling with a few rogues. But there were more to come, and I was not going to stand around to see my Emily get hurt.

Two rogues ran our way, and I could hear the paws of three more comings. I open-kicked the door, hitting one of the rogues and sending it flying to the side down the cliff.

The other rogue launched itself at me, making me catch it in mid-air as I swerved my body sideways. I slammed it on the floor and punched it on its ribs. The rogue howled in pain, trying to bite me.

I lifted him by his throat, his paws trying to scratch at me as I lifted his scrawny body off the floor and looked into his eyes.

"Who sent you?" I demanded within a mind link.

He was stubborn, but so was I. I slammed his body on the car and asked again. Emily's eyes were full of fear, and by now, she knew I wasn't a normal human.

"WHO sent you?" I asked again, my eyes were fixed on him. I was not going to budge.

"TALK before I snap your fucking neck clear off your body."

He whimpered and begged me to let go of him. I smirked, Asher, my wolf begged to be let out to snap his neck. I knew the rogue sensed my wolf, he feared for his life. And he should.

"Ty! We're coming. Hold on, buddy!" Harou, my lycan friend calls out. He had a great pack backing him. He was just as ruthless as our pack.

I squeezed my hands around the rogue's neck, a loud whimper escapes him.

"Ty no! Please let him go, baby." Emily stood on her knees on top of the car seat. I narrowed my eyes and squeezed again. I was fuming with rage.

"WHO SENT YOU?" I demanded again. He nodded, willing to talk.

I tossed his body to the earthed wall on the other side and walked slowly towards him.

"Talk!" I sneered as he shifted to his human form. Emily gasped, tears rolled down her beautiful gray orbs. She covered her mouth to muffle her cry to avoid yelling.

"It- it was Wesley. Your bother." He stuttered. If he thought he could fool me? He was dead wrong. I have no brother.

I chuckled and walked closer to him, he flinched covering his head. "Who the fuck is Wesley? Because he sure as hell lied to you. I have no brother."

"On the contrary little brother." I dark voice calls out from behind me.

I turned, glaring at him.

"Who are you?" I demanded he'd say.

"Tsk tsk tsk. Now, now little brother! You need to calm down. Wouldn't want your precious mate to get scared more than she already is, do you?" My eyes averted to Emily who was now standing outside the car. Her hands were in tight fists and tears rolled down her eyes.

"You and I are not related." I sneered back, anger fusing through every one of my damn pores.

"Oh. . . . but we are. We share . . . . the same daddy after all." My eyes averted to the side. Selene's eyes were wide in shock. She, Blake, and other members of our pack were now present. Selene walked slowly towards Emily and engulfed her in a hug.

I had no idea what she was saying to her, but I was glad my sister was here now. She soothed Emily, I could sense Emily was calming down.

"Ty! He's saying the truth! I can sense his wolf. We share the same blood." Asher gasped as he sensed Wesley's wolf and if there is someone I truly trust, it's Asher.

"No. . . . no! How? You? My brother?"

He smirked and walked closer to me.

"Oh yes, my dear..... little brother. . . . we ARE in fact, a family."
