So, I arrive at the club and get in my usual parking spot. I'm not bleeding heavily but it is leaking through my hoodie a little. It also hurts like hell but I just keep thinking that once I get to Laila it will be over. I'm a little later than opening hours so people are around but it's not anyone I recognize. I never get here this early though so the chances that I know anybody would be low anyway.
Once I walk in, I slowly make my way over to the bar while hiding my wound on my belly with my hand. I walk over to the bar and slam my hand on the table to get Laila's attention. She turns her spider body towards me and smiles warmly. I then raise my now bloody hand in her direction and wave it. Her smile turns into a face of worry immediately. A waitress just so happen to walk up to the bar to get some drinks when Laila tells her.
"Cover me, I have an emergency." She then quickly moves from around the counter, stopping everything she was doing, and makes her way to me.
"You did something stupid again didn't you?" She says with worry written all over her face. I just smile as the pain I had been mentally suppressing with a goal finally hit me. This stomach wound hurts like hell. I'm picked up by her and placed on her spider abdomen. She is quite strong as well. I'm taken up some stairs and to a private room. She lays me on the couch and goes to the private bathroom in the private room. She comes back with a first aid kit and says. "I'll have to take your top off now."
For some reason it seemed like she was happy about saying that. Anyway she takes off my clothes down to my sports bra and starts doing things to my wound. I don't look because I'm used to the procedure. She'll get a swab and some alcohol to clean the wound then stitch me up with some webbing and cover it with a bandage. The alcohol hurts like hell as always. I groan and grip the couch I'm on to bare with it. After thats over I feel the needle and spider silk piercing my skin over and over. Eventually she stops and I turn to look at her. Laila's expression seemed kind of grim.
"Come on, don't look at me like that...I wasn't gonna die." Laila snapped back with.
"You could have died! What if the wound was deeper?" I only sighed as a response and she began scolding me about being more cautious. After she finished there was a moment of silence.
"Sorry..." I said quietly. She relaxed a little, as if accepting that I was fine. Shen then started speaking, bringing up a topic I wasn't too fond of.
"This reminds me of way back when we were kids. You were pretty notorious for getting into fights right? They even called you a name back then right? What was it? Gan-"
"Hey! No need to bring up that old stuff." I said to cut her off from saying that horrible name. She laughed a little and then said. "I have to get back to work so just stay here and relax." Before I realized, the bandage was already on me. I wave Laila good bye and then sit back on the couch while holding my tummy. The cut itches but it doesn't hurt anymore...unless I touch it or move at all. I'll just relax here for a while. I close my eyes and hear the door.
"Forget something Laila?" She's the only person who would probably come in here willingly. I noticed Laila sat on the couch next to me and held my arm...wait. Laila can't sit on a couch because her abdomen would be in the way. I open my eyes to see who was on me. I see a familiar headless woman. My headless woman.
