Ciara's POV
The bell rang for the start of lunch which for most of the students obviously just meant 'take a break from the crazy teachers who actually care about this stuff.' I got up from my seat and grabbed my bag to take to the locker. I was still putting on a strong face for the rest of my friends but I wanted to go back to that hospital room and watch him get better. I put my bag in my locker and walked to the cafeteria keeping my ears tuned out of whatever gossip was going around about the accident that everyone was so convinced of that had happened to Kevin.
I finally placed my tray at the table that we all sat on. It felt like it had been forever since I started the journey to the cafeteria. I greeted the rest who weren't in their usual moods just as usual. "Like I was saying Jacob, you shouldn't have picked on the Purgers first. Now it's like you are on their radar or something. They won't hesitate to pick on you now."
