Kendall's POV
I was having trouble sleeping ever since Kevin had returned and fallen into a comma. I wished there was something I could have done to prevent whatever happened to him. In a way, I was feeling like I had just broken a promise I had made a long time ago. The way this hurt was not what I expected at all. I got up from my bed for what now felt like the umpteenth time.
I walked up to the sink and turned on the water before washing my face. One look at the digital clock on my bedside told me it was still one o'clock in the middle of the night. I put on a shirt, jacket and a pair of sweatpants and walked out the door. I needed to take a walk to sort through whatever it was that was haunting my mind. I found it easier to think when I was walking.
