When it seemed no one got the joke, the dragon let his laughter simmer down, "It's been a long time since I last saw someone similar to you, Teract. That's an Earth Elemental alright."
Jacob was taken aback by the dragon's reaction, "Do you mean you were testing me to see if I was really an Earth Elemental?" he asked. The turtle sighed in response.
"For a moment there, I thought you weren't going to react and were going to let him maul me like that. What took you so long, Jacob?" the turtle's voice was shaken and unbecoming of a Great Beast. The genuine emotion behind it was enough to shake Jacob's frustration.
Changing his train of thought, he replied cheerfully, "I wanted to see just how brave you were in front of Atlas."
