Kendall's POV
The clouds were a cause for worry, but the elves still went up to the hill where the Elder had been buried and paid their respects. The rest of us, the artras in particular, couldn't take our eyes off the sky. There was a heavy hum that came with these clouds. They rumbled loudly and reeked of magic... dark magic. Something was wrong about them and yet Jovenor didn't seem that worried about it.
The trip to Dwarvenhall had made him go silent. It was the same for the elves that had come with him. A portal opened revealing three mages dressed in purple robes. They took their positions next to the man and held their silence. I could recognize one of them to be Kalifa, but beyond that, they had just come to pay their respects, breaking the king's orders, unless they'd been allowed without our knowledge. It wasn't something we had to deal with anymore though… Jacob had just announced stepping down as overseer of the city and was back to being a regular boy.
