Kendall's POV
Ciara spent a great deal of time narrating her story to us when we were finally settled into Jacob's cottage. The boy offered to raise more cottages for the rest of us, but a sleepover sounded like a good idea. With extra beddings from the dwarves' storage, we were settled into our makeshift beds in the living room, tucked in our beds and listening to the tale of the Frostwalker with unblinking eyes and unwavering attention.
Every part of her tale was just every bit interesting enough to chase the sleep from our eyes regardless of the exhaustion we'd developed from fighting off the Tree of Life earlier that day. The feeling of a sleepover was heavily nostalgic as we remembered everything now. We knew Katie was one of us and that we'd grown up with her.
