Jacob's POV
The phoenix struggled to stand, but with the increasing demand for air, there was no energy left in its legs, "I don't know how long I'm supposed to keep this spell going, Kendall. If you could give me a sign that you're yourself again, then I'd stop it. Other than that, I'm afraid, you will have to fall asleep," Isaac's cold voice filled the air. He floated closer to the phoenix, screeches of pain filled the air.
"Isaac, that's enough," Ciara spoke up. Almost immediately, the spell stopped and ice encased the phoenix before it had the chance to erupt in flame. With one final screech of fury, the phoenix grew quiet and started to shrink rapidly.
"So might this be what he meant?" I asked my best friend as I approached him.
