Ciara's POV
It had been seven days since I'd started my training with Regina and each time she'd offered to give me a ride on her back, I'd frozen up and ended up travelling by collar. Collar transport was no longer feeling so bad anyway. The training was not going as smoothly as I would have liked though. I could now achieve total control after an hour of intense concentration, but the moment my concentration dropped, everything would tumble.
The sensation of holding back my ice was still a numb tingle at the back of my eyelids, almost impossible to get a grip of. Her explanations of Royals had finally come to an end when I'd got the full understanding of it. Royals were imperative for a world's survival, while the guardian was simply the one who kept things steady in that world and watched over everything. When I'd ask why the guardians weren't needed for the world's survival, she'd dismissed the question claiming not to know anything on the matter.
