Ciara's POV
Freezing did not come close to defining the blizzard that welcomed us at the foot of the mountain that my father had made me open a portal from. On the steep slopes of the mountains lay structures shrouded by mist, vision was difficult in this blizzard as my glasses kept misting over. "You know Ciara, this kind of weather should be very manoeuvrable for you," Dad yelled into my ear competing with the sound of the blizzard.
"What is this place?"
"Ah, I forget sometimes. You've never been to Crystal Mountain," he said.
"Crystal Mountain, named after Regina Crystal?"
"Not really, it's named after the Crystal royal family. She will teach you all you need to know about what it means to be a royal. The word doesn't get tossed about you know," he said before starting to take his first step in the shin-deep snow.
