Silence followed the answer we got from Kevin… Isaac's face screamed shock and horror along with several other faces… I, on the other hand, was eager to hear more of the explanation. Earlier, the council had interrupted us before we could get much from him, but now…
"The lion… he was the one responsible for killing Charles, but that's not why I woke up. My friends were in mortal danger. I couldn't seat back… and I could not hold back either. I was present the day that Dark mage killed Charles… and I was powerless to do anything about it. When you die, that's it… I wasn't going to take any chances. Does that explanation satisfy you?" he asked at the end, the sword floating next to him swiveling in the air and making more circles around him.
"I guess it does make sense, but I am also getting the sense that you are trying to say that you wouldn't have acted that way if the dark mages had not intended to kill us," Isaac asked.
