Kevin's POV
I woke up feeling better than I had in what felt like a century, but was two days. I looked up and regretted it immediately when the rays of the sun struck my sensitive eyes. I brought my hand up to block the light from my eyes, allowing my eyes to adjust. My headache was now gone and my wounds had now healed. I could no longer feel the pain of the broken ribs that I had gotten from Dera's hit to the chest. "Someone finally decided to wake up," I heard a voice.
I felt the body beneath me that was acting as my pillow begin to move at the mention of my state and moved off to let them get up. "Sit down, my King. You aren't supposed to be moving so much," Dera's voice came. The last brutal exchange I had had with her came back to me. I leaned more into her warm body even though it was scaly. For some reason, that did not bother me.
"What happened to you?" I heard Joshua ask.
