Chereads / The Love Story of the Daemon and the Angel / Chapter 3 - Prologue Part Two

Chapter 3 - Prologue Part Two

A Beast laid in a bed covered by a black blanket. His black hair was the only thing that showed. Along with his ram-like horns. A knock was heard upon the door. "Get up already! It's already noon!" The voice came from the other side of the door. The beast pulled the blanket down enough for his crimson red eyes to show. "Alright! Alright! I'm up!" He yelled to the voice.

The Beast pulled the covers off of himself and sat at the edge of the bed. He yawned before combing his hair back with his fingers. He sighed as he stood up from the bed. "I wonder what my brother wants..." He said as he walked to the closet to get an outfit out. He searched the closet and decided to wore a lightish black long sleeve shirt and a dark blue pair of blue jeans. He rolled the long sleeves up to his elbows. He walked out of the room and into the kitchen. "Hey, bro, what did you...?" He stopped dead in his tracks as he saw a certain Daemon sitting at the table. "I-Ishnid...?" He said surprised.

Ishnid chuckled. "Is that how you're going to great your childhood friend, Gar?" He asked as he stood up from his seat. "You haven't changed a bit!" Ishnid said as he observed Vol'garoth with his hand on his chin.

Vol'garoth walked up to Ishnid and hugged him. "I'm sorry! It's just...it's been so long since we spoke or saw each other. You look so different!" He said with a smile as he hugged Ishnid. Ishnid hugged him back. They stopped hugging and sat at the table.

"Why are you here?" Vol'garoth asked, confusion strong in his voice.

Ishnid thought carefully before speaking. "My master, Lucifer, wants to see you."

Vol'garoth thought a minute. "What could he possibly want with me?" He said with a wary tone.

Ignoring him, Ishnid smiled. "I think we should go as soon as possible."

Vol'garoth nodded and both stood up and headed towards the door. He noticed that his brother had already left. He shut and locked the door before leaving to meet up with Lucifer.

As they stood outside their destination, Ishnid took a deep breath before opening the doors. "Sir, Vol'garoth is here." He said before sending him in and closing the doors. Vol'garoth took a deep breath before walking towards where Lucifer sat. "Hello." He said.

Lucifer smiled as he turned towards Vol'garoth. "Have a seat..." He said as he motioned to a chair beside him.

Hesitant, Vol'garoth looked at the door before walking towards the chair and takes a seat. "May I ask, what made you ask for me?" He asked as polite as possible.

Motioning to the Vortex, Lucifer sighed. The Vortex showed a beautiful angel with ashen-gray hair, it was past her shoulder blades. Her eyes was emerald-green. Her wings were white as snow. She wore a dress the shade of a mallow flower and had pale purple sandals. It showed this angel fighting low ranking Daemons. Vol'garoth snubbed his nose at the sight of her. Before Vol'garoth could say anything, Lucifer told him what he called him there for was. "I want you to help this angel. We high rank Daemons may not like angels all that much, but we can not complain at this point in time. These lowly Daemons was unleashed by one of us without my command. I will have my most trusted, including your brother, find who had let them loose upon the human world. We Daemons do need their souls. Humans are fragile creatures." He said as he sighed and leaned his head on his fist. "I have no choice but to count on you to see if the vile creature who did this, is still in the human world. I'm putting my full trust in you. I don't want to have my name continuously be condemned." He said as he stared at the Vortex with his blood red eyes.

Vol'garoth sighed. He wanted so bad to decline but he knew it'd be selfish of him. He came to the conclusion that he was going agree. "I will do this assignment. I will do my best to find who did this. I will make sure his punishment isn't so light." Vol'garoth concluded and stood up. "I will go to the human world and help this angel." He said before walking out and rushing to find Ishnid.

Satisfied with Vol'garoth's answer, Lucifer grinned. He could tell from his aura, Vol'garoth was indeed not full Daemon. He let out a deep and menacing chuckle, once Vol'garoth shut the door. He smirked devilishly as he sat in his empty room.
