Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Darling

Under the dim light, a woman was sitting on the wet ground leaning on the lamppost. Her fluffy curly hair just happened to expose her fine-skinned neck. Two black straps were connected to the top of the black stockings, extending all the way to the top of the thighs, and disappearing in the skirt.

In a black car across the street, Detective Coulson, who already had two children, was staring at the woman intently. Don't get the wrong idea. Detective Coulson was on a surveillance task. As for the 'welfare' that came with the mission, the middle-aged detective accepted it without hesitation.

"Huh! It is just the beginning of the spring, but these women already can't wait to shake their 'money tree'! Even if they will not be murdered, they will definitely freeze to death here!" No matter how much he enjoyed the beauty in front of him, Coulson was still an upright person.

"Some humm hum hum coming (someone is coming)!"

Detective Coulson frowned and glanced at his partner, James Rance, the guy, who was transferred to Barton Police a week ago, had a good surname! In Coulson's eyes, this kind of guy, who became a detective directly without working as a police officer first, clearly came from a family with a lot of connections.

James hadn't swallowed the food in his mouth, but he already couldn't wait to open a box of onion roll bread. This official second generation and idiot! Coulson grabbed the onion roll, opened the car window, and threw it away!

"James! I don't care if your father is a General or not!" Coulson lowered his voice and stared at his partner fiercely, "No one! No one can eat onion rolls in my car!"

"Oh." James blinked and nodded.

Everyone can understand this as the malice of a middle-aged man, who was finally able to become a detective after years of hard work, towards a young man, who did nothing but still became a detective because of his father.

Coulson didn't dare to directly express his dissatisfaction, so he could only use this "little thing" to vent it.

The eyes of the two detectives then returned to the woman under the streetlamp.

A man in a black coat, a black round hat, and a newspaper under his left arm approached the woman.

Zach crouched in front of the woman, "Miss? If you continue to stay here, you will catch a cold."

The vampire's eyes fell on the woman's exposed neck. The coldness of early spring made her fair skin slightly pink, and the vampire could already feel the blood rushing under the thin skin!

The woman raised her head and looked at Zach with her somewhat misty eyes, and her lips cured up into a smile. She reached out her cold hand, took Zach's hand, and put it on her body, then a soft voice sounded, "I know a way to warm me up."

Uh-huh. This is a woman with professionalism.

As if she also felt that the hand of the man in front of her was not warmer than her body, the woman's eyes became even mistier, "It will also warm you up~"

Want to warm a vampire's body temperature? The woman said a goal she could not accomplish.

"Okay." Zach smiled, pulled his hand back, put down the newspaper that he originally didn't want to buy, and stood up. The vampire unbuttoned his coat, took it off, gently draped it over the woman's shoulders, and then helped the woman to get on her feet, "I'm just a passerby, do you know any place that has four walls and a roof? We can go there."

The woman's eyes were a little puzzled. She instinctively tightened the coat that was draped over her. Although she couldn't feel the real body temperature, some temperatures could only be felt in her heart.

"You are a gentleman, you know?" The woman looked at Zach in front of her and said. Most people would do it in the toilet of the bar or in the dark alley, but the person in front of her asked for a normal room. Perhaps because of Zach's actions, the woman failed to notice that Zach did not mention an important thing: a bed.

"Oh? Thank you, I hope this impression can be maintained until the moment we parted." Zach smiled, and we all know what a vampire really wanted!

"There is a hotel in the next block, we can go there." The woman suggested.

"Okay." Zach still smiled, nodded, and reached out his hand to signal the woman to lead the way.

The woman tightened the coat, walked in front of Zach, and said, "Don't forget your newspaper."

"Thank you for reminding me." Zach picked up the newspaper and followed the woman.

This short distance was awkward for both of them. Zach remembered the report he saw while spending time in the grocery store and said, "there seem to be single women missing in this neighborhood. Are you not afraid?"

"Louise, my name is Louise." The woman turned around, smiled, and said to Zach. This man was really a gentleman, he used the phrase 'single women' to replace her ill-defined occupation. Only true gentlemen would pay attention to such small details, "I'm not worried, you can take a look behind."

Louise's eyes floated behind him, but Zach didn't have to look back. As a vampire, he had long discovered the two detectives on the opposite corner of the street. And now, the middle-aged detective has gotten off the car to follow them like a regular pedestrian.

Zach started to slightly appreciate this 'single woman' named Louise. The really dangerous place was a place that has been neglected. However, because of the continuous missing person cases in a month, this block was currently being watched by the Patton Police Department, so it has become the safest place. The "drunk" act was obviously just the bait she put on herself.

This was a clever 'single woman'.

Whether Detective Coulson was Louise's 'bodyguard' or he just wanted to get more 'welfare', let's not discuss that at the moment...

"Room 203." The old man behind the counter looked at Zach and Louise, gave them a registration form, and said coldly.

Zach picked up the registration form and pen and looked at Louise with a smile, "Louise, you can go upstairs, and warm your body first."

"Uh-huh." Louise nodded, took the key from the old man, and glanced at Zach before going upstairs, "I will fill the tub with hot water, darling."

A flashed a contempt appeared in the eyes of the owner of the hotel, this at least seventy years old man. 'Darling'? If his 'darling' was dressed up like this, he would break the leg of that old woman regardless of his sore back, which would happen whenever it rained. Oh, actually, there was no need to be so violent. If that old woman had such a thought, he would laugh off his only tooth!

The old man glared at Zach, who lowered his head to write "Zach Grande" on the form and thought to himself, 'don't you dare think that you can fool me, this name is definitely fake!' However, the old man was too lazy to verify his ID. He just took back the registration form and was ready to ask for money, but what greeted his turbid eyes was a pair of red eyes!

"I gave you two hundred Dor, one hundred is what you deserved, and the other hundred is your tip, you are very grateful for my generosity."

The old man's cold expression instantly became enthusiastic as soon as the voice fell, "Ah! Sir, you are really a generous person! I wish you a wonderful evening!"

The red in Zach's eyes faded back to light green, and he nodded happily, "I also wish you a beautiful night."

Zach's pleasure came from the fact that the other party was an old man with a little time left in his life. A weak life meant weak willpower, which made Zach use his hypnotizing eyes successfully. Yes, if the previous grocery storekeeper was not a guy, who was in his prime, Zach could have saved five more Dor today!
