Ted had fallen on the brown damp ground, creating a little crater where it landed, suggested he fell from a great height. Some cruel monster had engraved words on his back.
'As if...' it read in red blood, spilled and smeared across his fur.
Penelope embraced Lia tightly covering her eyes and ears densely as she hoped Lia hadn't seen the words carved on his back. Penelope could feel his pain. Hippogriffs are supposed to be eternal creatures... He could only be killed by a very high ranked Witch or a very intelligent demon...
Penelope's mind went blind, all her thoughts screamed only one thing. Teleport away from there, as far as she could. She closed her eyes tightly and shrieked, her voice ripping the sky open making all the clouds and creatures scatter.
