I weirdly felt... Guilty?
Jack grabbed my hand pulling me into the water and we swam back to the shore. I sat on the sand for a little while staring at the moon. Jack just walked away...
Was he mad.....?
|•••|
I was sad.
I was sad that I made him angry... or at least I thought I made him angry...
'He hates me now... but why?' I kept thinking until the sea raised high and now hit my stomach. I looked around to notice a moving shadow!
"Hello?"
"Li what are you still doing here? I thought you were with Jack..."
Conall sat beside me and looked at the waves hitting the shore- taking the sand off of the beach and into the sea. "He seemed mad..."
"What do you mean mad?"
"He just pulled me up the shore and left. He didn't turn back. he didn't ask me to go with him" I silently sobbed.
"Hey! shush… it's alright he will get over it"
"Get over what?"
"Whatever it is making him upset" He gently brushed my hair and gently patted my back.
Something about him made me feel safe. He grew so close to me in such a short time...
"Let's get you back to the hammocks aight?" He smiled. I nodded and we walked back on the same narrow path.
I fell asleep as soon as I hit the hammock!
~Next morning~
I opened my eyes to Penelope's face close to mine. There was only a literal 1 inch gap between our noses.
"Gahhhh!" I suddenly sat up straight. She leaned towards me. "Is it true!? Did he really tell you!? do you remember me now!!? I missed you Lia!" She hugged me tight- almost choking me to death.
"Ah- pen- I can't breath-" I managed to say. She instantly let me go and blushed. "Sorry I was just really excited..." She was jumping in her place.
"Uhhh even though I have no idea what you are talking about... lets just get some food into my system I haven't eaten since yesterday morning..." I chuckled nervously scratching my head.
Penelope sat there mouth wide opened "No- No- idea?" She groaned and yelled at Conall-
I jumped down the hammock with the rope and walked towards the group. Everybody looked fresh. Everybody greeted me good morning- except Jack.
"Good morning Jack" I said.
"Hm" he replied without even looking at me. I gave up and looked around when I felt a pull on my leg. Awww the dwarf! She was offering me some clothes. She walked me deeper into the forest until we came to a place where it looked like a changing room. There were several rooms made with beautifully woven leaves and petals.
I went in and changed into the outfit. Surprisingly it fit me perfectly- as if it was sewn for me. It was a light lavender colour sleeveless turtleneck shirt with a cute brown short skirt!
"This is amazing thanks!" I thanked the dwarf
"Call me Ida! You will see me a lot around here" She smiled.
"Well Ida thank you so much"
"My pleasure! Princess!"
I couldn't help but blush at the comment. It got me remembered of the time Jack called me Princess... Ok back to the point! She walked me around introducing me to all the dwarfs. We then sat near a tree where she combed my hair.
"We are now good to go have some breakfast my princess!"
'Dang it- what is it with everybody calling me princess- Jack, Conall and now Ida??'
I smiled and nodded. We strolled back to the fire place by the beach where the rest of the gang was. I took my plate and sat in the empty space between Isabelle and Conall. I smiled at both of them and waited as a Ida brought a loaf of bread filled with soup. 'Ah! the classic camping food!' I finished my meal and so did everybody else.
I hugged my knees and looked at Penelope who was sitting next to Conall. She looked back at me.
"Wanna talk about this morning Pen?" She nodded and we got up holding hand walking nearer to the water.
"You know the fact that you were indeed born here right?"
I nodded in response
"Well we were.... close. You, me and Isabelle- We were like sisters... we went hunting together... And when you broke the law father separated us... He sent you onto the earth with no mercy!" She teared up.
My head felt heavy suddenly. Not again! My head was going to be flooded with more random memories!
"Pen- I-" I panted as my vision started to go blurry. The last thing I saw was the blue clear sky and concerned Penelope.
I collapsed... Again...
