Now, here we are at the presence of the king of Salazar kingdom, the man who supposedly have brought down the corrupt nobles, during the civil war to reform the system. apparently, there is even a play about how he did that. This man is talked about so much as if he is some protag of some fairy tale.
"so, esteemed father, I heard you chose an orc as my bride to be, please kindly explain yourself to me." I had a smile plastered in my face like an insurance salesman, while my hands tightened around my father's neck, the whole time.
"urgh...urgh. my neck, my neck, hey do you know who I… I am, the fucking king dammit! aren't you afraid of committing lese-majesty." cried the king to his son without a hint of guilt.
"oh my, you sure are gutsy enough to say such a thing after what you did, aren't you the one who assigned an orc as my bride to be, if I am not mistaken, if I am, kindly correct me brad." I said in a menacing tone while still having the terrifying smile in my face, I turned to face brad.
"…ah, yes, his majesty was the one said who said you like meaty thighed orcs." said brad while sweating bullets, with his head turned downward refusing to make eye contact, he probably realised that he overstepped his boundaries.
"braaad! You... youu traitorrr! didn't we agree that we both will take responsibility if things didn't go as planned and, on that matter, when did I ever say a thing about Alfred loving meaty thighed orcs, you lair." said the pathetic, no-good king while I still had my hands around his neck.
"I don't have any recollection of saying a word about it and I also remember telling you my liege doesn't like marriage with orc but he likes a plump, meaty thighed middle-aged woman." said brad with a triumphant smile like he accomplished his mission.
"*cough*…*cough*…OH, I feel enlightened with the newfound knowledge, son, can you find it in your heart to forgive your gullible father, who was about to commit a grave sin."
your majesty, isn't his highness albert the very image of benevolence and kindness. I mean sure our prank went a bit too far this time, he wouldn't kill us for that, right." brad said to me after he was done playing 'the loyal subject' role play with my father.
So, this whole shit is a planned event to see me in anguish, huh. why did they do that? They want to get some kick out of it, as simple as that, right? not at all, at least not for the guy in question.
'Well now that it has come this, how should I deal with these two? Maybe I should finish off these two to vent my frustration and throw the blame at one of the neighbouring kingdoms, we have hostile relationship with.'
Just as my thoughts were headed toward to a point of no return, I heard a loud shriek as the door was opened by someone.
