The Man:
Superman grabs me by my jacket's collar, he rockets through the air before slamming me into the ceiling.
"Let see if you can fly," he says, spinning around and tossing back toward the ground. The ground getting closer and closer, I reach for something in my pockets but before I could grab it, someone instead grabs my hand and pulls me up.
"What," I say, looking up and seeing Kara lifting me. "Kara? What are you doing here?"
"I'm saving you from hitting the ground," Kara replies, flying away as Superman sees the two of us.
"Kara," he yells, about to follow after us. However, before he can, I once again reach for something in my pockets.
"Catch," I scream, tossing out a bunch of kunai knives. The kunai in mid-air for only a little, they explode and not only stop Superman dead in his track but also give Kar and me so breathing room.
"I thought I told the doc not to let you or anyone else back here," I say, looking at Kara as we fly away. "What the heck?"
"Don't be mad at him," Kara replies, stopping to look at me. Still dangling from my one arm, she pulls me until we are face-to-face. "I convinced Dr. Crane to send us back here."
"Us? Oh, please tell me you just mean you and your shadow."
Shaking her head, she nudges her head downward. Looking down, I shake my head when I see members of the Insurgency. They're helping in the fight, taking down soldiers and betas.
"So just to be sure," I say, looking at Kara. "Dr. Crane does not speak English. Okay, I know a lot of languages and I'm a quick learner."
Saying hello in Spanish, Chinese, French, Dutch, German, and ancient Latin, I see question marks floating above Kara's head.
"Uhh, never mind," I say in English.
"Here," Kara says, handing me a teleporter. "I think you're the only one who knows how to use this."
"Thanks," I say, taking the teleporter. "I guess you, uh, saw what happened."
"Yeah," she chuckles. "You can thank Anthony."
"Thank Anthony."
I make a quick mental note to give Higgins a black eye later.
"In my defense, I did that not out of stupidity but to keep Superman and his thousands and thousands of soldiers out of my base. Speaking of my base."
Looking down again, I see all the chaos below. Even with the added help, there are just too many soldiers, betas, and regimes in the base. The place is practically overflowing with enemies.
"We need to clear some space," I say, looking at the teleporter in my hand. "I can set it up but if I do, it would be like inviting all these annoying bastards to my base and quite frankly, I really rather not have uninvited annoying bastards. I have enough issues with just one. His name is Barry Allen."
Kara is about to say something, but before she can, a streak of lightning shoots past us.
"Kara Zor-El," Black Adam says, his hands glowing with electricity.
"Black Adams," Kara replies.
"Wonder Woman," I scream, pointing toward the amazon as she is flying toward us, a sword in her hand.
Captain Cold:
Falling back after Nightwing does some fancy kick, I stumble back and accidentally drop my cold gun. Leaping for it, a beta stomps on my arm as soon as my finger touches the trigger. Screaming as I try to pull it out, I look up at the beta as it aims its hand at me. Seeing the tip of the hook shining, it's only a second later when I see the tip of an arrow shining.
"What the hell," I ask, watching as two more arrows the beta. The first goes through its head, the second piercing the hand, and the final hit the kneecap, the beta's eyes go from red to black before falling over.
Pushing myself up, I look to see the infamous Green Arrow running toward me, taking out some betas along the way.
"Robin Hood," I say, rubbing my arm. "What the hell are you doing in this shitstorm?"
"Ice cream man," Green Arrow replies, his back slamming against mine as we start to circle. "I'm here to help."
"In that case, take out any betas and soldiers that interfere. Meanwhile, Nightwing and I are going to see which of us end up eating dirt off the floor."
"Deal. Five bucks said it's him."
"I'll be sure to grab his wallet afterward."
Nodding our heads, Green Arrow quickly takes out a group of soldiers with one of his trick arrows. Meanwhile, I focus all my attention on soon-to-be "daddy's little disappointment".
"You should have stayed down Snart," Nightwing says, walking toward me, stun batons twirling in his hands.
"You should have stayed in school kid," I reply, powering my cold gun. "The grown-ups are fighting."
Closing one eye, I aim down the sight and fire. Dodging underneath the beam, Nightwing charges at me. Raising a baton into the air, he slams it down and hits me across the face. Uppercutting me in the chest, he then stabs me with his baton. With the electricity hitting me, I once again stumble back.
"I was trained by both the League of Assassins and Batman," Nightwing brags. "Do you really think you can beat me?"
"Yeah I do," I answer, wiping some splits from my mouth. "Big deal. You got fancy kicks and high-tech gadgets. Well, I got a stubborn attitude, a weird-ass, no-name son of a bitch, and a new cold gun. Bring it on junior."
Junior running toward, I change the dial on the side of my cold gun and fire. An ice bomb going off, it burst out white smoke and daze Nightwing. Still time, it's Nightwing who's screaming. Covering in snow, he's wobbling around and wiping his eyes.
While he's wobbling and wiping, I run toward him and ram my gun into his stomach. Screaming and bending over, I grab him by the back of his shirt and toss him to the ground. Trying to get up, I knock him down with a swing of my arm.
"Stay down," I say, freezing Nightwing to the ground. Ice exploding all over, it covers his entire body and even his neck.
"Damn. I can't get Green Arrow's five bucks now."
Poison Ivy:
Hearing a familiar sonic shrink, I turn to my right to see Black Canary screaming. The ice wall trapping my plants shattering, they all rush toward Killer Ice. Bursting from the ground, they wrap around her and before she can shoot, they trap her.
"I didn't need your help," I say, shooting daggers at the bird lady. "I was doing fine by myself."
"Maybe," Black Canary says, "But they didn't. Finish this fast because we're trying to get out of here."
"Fine," I growl, turning in time to see Killer Frost breaks free. Frozen plants flying everywhere, I close my hands and prepare for a second round.
Killer Frost raising both her hands' fires dual ice beams at me. Using a suit feature, I shoot out my open hand and from the suit, seeds pop out. Tossing them to the ground, an entire wall of roots and vines then shoot up, blocking the beams.
Stepping out from behind, I call forth a vine and snap it like a whip. About to fire again, a plant minion lunges at her from the side and knocks her unsteady. Shooting and freezing the ground, she kicks my minion away.
"Back off you son of a bit--," Killer Frost says before I cut her off. My thorn-covered vine wrapping around Killer Frost's arm, I pull her close enough for Black Canary to scream at her. Her voice sent her flying back, she fall into a group of soldiers.
"Thanks," I say, looking away.
"You're welcome," Black Canary replies. "By the way, I'm talking to the little guy."
