'This feeling. It's simply incredible.
I can understand why the beast inside of me wanted me to pick this race. It feels like I have an even deeper connection to it.
I wonder what my next evolution will be exactly. I can tell it will be powerful from what I can already feel from this one but I can't wait to see what it is.
No. Calm down. We just evolved. Now is not the time to worry about evolving again.'
Mordred came out of his thoughts before looking at his now ruined suit. The lightning that discharged from him tore and burnt most of it.
'Damn. I need to buy another one of these.'
He looked at all of his companions with pride. Their group had changed in such a dramatic yet subtle way in less than a day.
"Alright. I get that everyone is happy with their evolution but now it is time to get serious.
We have gained a small amount of power. We are not strong but in fact still very weak in the grand scheme of things.
We need to start leveling so we can catch up and surpass those old monsters we call ancestors as well as those who sit in their thrones as 'gods'."
Mania brought everyone out of their thoughts. Her words sobered up anyone who was still like Mordred had been just a moment before.
"She is right. Let's first divide into our teams. Not only for the academy but also for other missions outside of it.
We can't expect to get everything from our families if we wish to keep secrets from the. We will have to start relying on ourselves for money and resources soon."
"Agree. We need to divide the teams in the fairest way we can at the moment so that the distribution of power is even all around."
Kali and Niya said back to back. Each of them wanted to hurry and continue their training so they could test out their new powers and see what they could really do.
"But we have an issue now. While most of us have races that can be hidden, we have 3 moderate issues.
They are in order of worst to best: Satana, Supay, and Kali.
Supay has lost both his tail and wings. While we may be able to hide that for a while, the hothead might accidentally let out his wings if he is not careful.
Satana and Kali both only changed their dragon forms but that is when they are most powerful. Kali might pass using that form in public but Satana certainly won't.
So without being able to use their forms, they are down 50% in power. While this might not matter against opponents we compete against inside the academy, outside or when facing others, this is a huge handicap."
Bast pointed out to the others. This was undeniable. While they were SS ranks before and had even risen up to SSS ranks, they knew they were not invincible and were susceptible to those at higher levels
"Then we will have to divide the teams to make up for that. Mordred and I will take the largest handicap, Satana. We have the most firepower between us and we also have Nyx to use for extra support.
Even with their lower levels, we were pretty much already a 3 person squad before so we can take one more, and having a tank will be of use to us as well.
Hades and Niya will take Supay with them. They are already carrying enough firepower and could use some support skills with them. With that, they have a ranged assassin, a warrior, and a support type making them a well-balanced team.
We can send the two vampires with the other dragoness. They have good tank classes that also rely on magic while their racial abilities support their classes. They could use the extra raw damage that comes in the form of a petite dragon."
Persephone's idea met with mixed reviews. While those who were called the handicaps were upset about it, they could not refuse.
The others were fine with how the teams were assigned. They seemed to be fair and well balanced so that missions could be accomplished efficiently.
"Let it be done that way then. Next on the agenda, are these," Mordred said before he tossed everyone a small, rectangular piece of metal along with a wireless earpiece and a few other small objects.
"These are radios. They allow contact with each other from far distances with direct links to each other. They work up to 5 kilometers away which will be sufficient while we are in the academy.
The small earpiece goes into your ear so that way you may talk hands-free and also be able to hear what we say without others being able to hear what the people you are talking to say.
I also gave you guys a few batteries to power these things. These things have enough power to let us talk constantly for a month so should last us a long while as long as we do not use them stupidly.
We can't always enter a dungeon or secret hideout to pass out confidential information for now. With these, we can communicate and pass on information or messages to others as long as we are alone."
These radios were a welcome change. Having to always run around and hide was troublesome to high born demons.
The group continued discussing a few other matters such as business plans, resources that needed gathering, dungeons that needing clearing, and planning for the academy.
They had barely 5 months before they would be stuck in the academy for a few years with only a few chances to leave so they needed to make the most of their time outside of it.
After staying in the dungeon for another hour in order to clear it as well as test their abilities, the group dispersed for the day and planned to reconvene with their teams in 3 days' time to start fulfilling their duties.
