Doxia returned and the children rushed to him, eagerly asking, "Did you bring the calf?"
He drew a hand in his wet hair, brushed it up, sitting down to become as their heights.
"Yes, We did! But should not you be in your bed by now?"
They rolled their heads down; Dana drew his hands behind him, playing with his fingers! This time he couldn't say anything.
"Well, do you want to see it?"
The frown on their faces faded away and together they blurted, "Can we?"
"Five minutes then you will be in your bed." Doxia pointed out to the door.
A minute later, the children were inside the pen and Asil watched them in the doorway. Behind some Prunus scoparia trees, Doxia heard a rustle and snort. He drew his sword out, gazing around.
"Go to the children and lock the door behind." He said smoothly.
"What about you?" Asil's panicked face revealed how frightened he was.
"Please, go."
