"Did someone bring news of them?" I men asked while his eyes were pleading.
The stunned Marcus was the last one who answered, "Is mother alive?"
Daren studied those faces, they were not sure yet.
"They are not certain of it," Daren turned to Imen and asked, "You were the last boat and you confirmed that they didn't leave the ship, am I right?" He was wishing that they had found any tinge of proof to say that they were alive.
He nodded in disappointment. Dan told the boys about the wounded stranger whom they had found and could only pray that he becomes sober very fast and tells them that their loyal ally had survived. Even with a small tinge of the possibility, they would go after her.
