Chereads / The Master of Seventh Gate / Chapter 39 - Chapter 38

Chapter 39 - Chapter 38

Location: Earth - Oak forest

A man with a black cape walked along with the fog. The owl screamed and rapidly flew up of the branch, seeing him in dark and as the wings were hooting. The bird faded in the shadows. There was no wind blowing when he arrived in the tumbled-down house full of spider nets. The place was filled with fear and cold.

Lug was sitting on a wooden chair caressing Arto's the fire-tiger head when he said, "The brave Allen. Come here. I'm waiting for you, It's been a long time."

Allen took the hood off and their eyes contacted each other, felt deep impotence inside thinking with himself that what kind of monster is this? It was like biting his spirit with its eyes, but he gathered himself and said, "I'm truly sorry. This jungle is much unknown to me."

"It doesn't matter, but I was getting disappointed in you. You look stronger than your brother."

Allen didn't like to hear anything about Daniel, so he said "That coward is not my brother."

"I don't care about what's happening between you and your brother, but your being here shows that you've accepted my offer." His yellow eyes fixed on him.

Allen sniggered, "of course. That's my pleasure. I don't like to be on the weak side."

"You will do what I want." Lug had gotten that he was thirsty for power. So, he said coldly and sharply.

And Allen finished his words, "and you'll get me where I deserve."

This time Lug looked up. His eyes scared him as they met, then Lug muttered, "I don't trade with anyone. I offer you something, you'll do it and you'll be honored. If you became my enemy, you'll pay it off with your life."

Allen was well-aware of what he meant, "Whatever you command."

Lug smiled gratefully which was also horrifying. He stood up and walked out, changed to black smoke and left with his pet. Allen stayed there for a while thinking about what he said. He deeply knew that there is no way to withdraw from it.

Location -Tegan- south of Deylan

"The rulers of the earth ran away

They took with them minor thoughts

We stayed in the old and young world

We built a world full of love

We saw the kids playing

Near the lake of joy and happiness

The darkness would fade away

The roar of the dragon and tear of the phoenix

Made a strong chill of safety in the hearts

We were drawn in the freedom air." The words that a peasant panhandler whispered through each lane.

Darkness was sitting on the ground, spreading a black cloth on the earth sewing a new dress for the earth; it did not care about putting sword-like needles into the body of the earth inhabitants that he was crucifying. If anybody decides to stand in her way, she would swallow them, then sneers and sing a deadly song that hurts ears and make them bleed. But she also had a drawback which was her dreadful fear from the magnificent light and its fellows who could scare her to death.

Nothing could stop her anyways; she dressed up as an old shabby woman who sometimes dropped by to spread his powders to their faces taking them into the deep sleep of despair, then she would leave as she had never been there. She would never ask for help instead she would intrigue people with colorful avidities, would breach inside the souls getting them to depend on him totally so that no one dared even to try to breathe again and join the real life.

Daniel was on the way back from the smithy, Renew, his white husky stood there in a sudden. He turned back to find out why the wolf stopped in the middle of the way, barking highly, "hey boy what happened let's go, nothing is there". He followed its direction and noticed the umbra person in the dark lane who was staring at him. He approached him and the black-hooded person said, "Happy to see you, Daniel".

"I thought you deal with my brother, what brought you here to disgust me?" Daniel said unwillingly.

The tiger walked out beside its master, Renew bared his teeth, but suddenly fell in pain, Daniel ran to it and boomed, "Let go of it".

The stranger took out his red hand, sharp nails out of his sleeves glittered, slushily moved it in the air, the pain left the wolf.

"Forgive me for saying this, but your brother is an amateurish fool", he got closer to his ears and quietly whispered, "I want you, a king tempered one, think more about my request", after saying that stepped back to the dark and faded away in the shadow of the lane.

He was no one, but lug, he was looking for a commander between the men.

The smart, Strong, and intelligent one, but Daniel disappointed him and made his decision already, chosen his way and had no intention of joining lug and his filthy plans or be a part of it for a single blink.

He made two brothers against each other, if one of them kills the other one, he would gain what he wanted. It started the same from the first fratricide, but this time the perpetrators must be punished, if there could be a death out there must be for demons, not innocent people. They must send the evils to the darkest side of hell and lock them where there is no way out to them to come back again. A place that there is no sense of their presence, a place beyond this universe. Creatures must defend and protect their self-integrity, the beautiful soul that they are blessed with and it's been a long time that locked it in a cage of fatuity and it's singing the song of freedom. Just like a caged bird.

Daniel stood there for a few seconds then came out of the street and said to Renew, "it's time to go boy, you scared me," he didn't want to give any tribute to lug. He bitterly smiled and said. "I have my own rules for running my life, huh, you damn demon".

He got to the home and saw his father who sat on his buffalo leather seat, piping and drowns in his thoughts. He stood exactly across him and Renew laid beside the door. He leaned on the table and picked a book up on the table and without any preface to what he wanted to say, said, "I'm leaving here".

His father without showing any specific attention said, "Did you talk to Lug?"

Daniel nodded and said, "My way is too different than yours, so I had decided to leave".
