"Soon Lord is going to learn about him being my son; Dena is truly in danger now, he won't show her even a tinge of mercy; I'm going after her." Mohan directed to Dan and got up on his feet.
"I'm coming with you."
"NO, Eve needs you," Mohan insisted.
"We are joining you; I can't do anything for my sister; Silman will pick her up with them", Arno said, his voice thickened. Dan confirmed him by a shoulder tap. Zooland's daughter had to bear a tense reprimand.
Mohan moved to his horse and Arno followed him. Dan asked them to wait a minute and walked to pirate girl.
"What is your name?" He asked.
"Morwarid and yours?"
"Daniel Ray, so can I count on your words?" He doubted to trust them easily, but as long as Eve needed serious care he had to give it a shot.
A young blond man with curly hair approached, "Sister these ain't our business, not involving with personal affairs; it is the rule". He rattled on, but she ignored and replied, Beside the eastern harbor near the coal mountain we wait for them to come back before twilight, Ezkeman!" her brother sighed still not convinced to bring these warriors into their ship.
Dan thanked and walked back to Lorena and Crystal, "You go with them and take care of Eve," Then left them quickly.
Crystal frowned and complained, but Lorena warned her that this is the only way to rescue Eve.
Ezkeman was nagging yet why his sister allowed them in. But the answer was something that quieted him, "I've learned the rules to break some, not all of them are fair; here and now it is about a girl's life, you know me if that was a man I wouldn't care! We are not like other clans and don't worry I will find a solution to explain father."
Arno, Dan and Mohan galloped to the capital. The gate was open and sentries didn't stop them. Inside the walls no man could have been seen. It was a pure silence. What happened to the crowded city that they entered couple of hours before? The sounds of hooves were echoing. It was more the same as reveilles, declared to start a war. They rode straight to castle.
Before they arrive Lina rode to city rapidly, seemed competed the wind to see who is going to win. Commander of guards Arda was waiting before the gates. She dismounted and cried out, "Give me your horse and declare that monsters are close, people must stay at home then you come back". Without any fritter of time or explanation she rode directly to castle.
Strangely without any questioning the door widen opened. But the gaze of guards weren't that friendly. Obviously they got alerted about them coming. Negotiation with lord was the only option the three of them could pick to save Dena.
A black horse was inside the enceinte. The door of castle entrance got opened. Zooland came out, his hands wide opened to pretend a welcome. With an unkind inflection shouted, "I see you got back without my son."
Just right after him Arda stepped out while hold a dagger just near Dena's throat. But he knew that Zooland won't kill Dena. Although not sure about Lina. Twelve years ago he brought her to castle, to work as a nurse for little Lina who just lost her mother. Feeling guilty was the at least. Working hand in glove with Zooland court was his big mistake as he believed. From the first day he dragged her to be beside Lina, she never smiled again.
He cheated on his brother or for catching a commander place of that demonic throne. He saw his sister constantly got threated by Zooland and remained mute as a rat who got stuck to a snake hole. He knew that if she doesn't accept lord would burn them up all alive.
Arda never talked to Mohan about such a case. Letting him know was equal to watch him dying. But the hatred start when Mohan thought she had cheated on him and slapped Dena on the face, whether regretted very fast, anyways it couldn't help enough. She told him love isn't enough for having a peaceful life. Without wealth it is incomplete.
The last person who passed the door was Lina. Her eyes were blazing out of enmity. She was lust of darkness court already.
"Bring me my son or I'll kill this woman, he is the heir of my throne. I raised him between swan feathers. Trained him with great masters to become the next Lord, He is my son," Zooland yelled like a mad man. At the same time Lina's gaze rolled on her farther. The mush loathly emotions within her heart included her father though.
"Did she tell you that she attempt to kill Marcus by the back? She caused the son you love a deep deadly wound! Plus that why would you threat us with your own wife?" Daniel responded.
He turned his face to Lina doubted if they are telling the truth. But she kept being silent so it made him even more confused. Paused for a moment and again said, "Don't fool me you boastful Daniel Ray, I need to see my son here then I'll decide to believe you and allow this traitor come with you", he pointed to Dena.
"Are you blind Zooland, she wants them both die", Mohan preached.
"Last chance Mohan bring my son", he urged so they had no other way, looked at each other, still on horses ready to head back.
"That bastard is not your son idiot", Lina roared and even guards gaped. A silence made of shock ruled for a second and then a sound of hard buffet broke it.
Lina kneeled, couldn't control her tears. Her right hand placed on the left side of her face. It was already red and about to leave a dark huge bruise.
But she didn't give up on her point and added, "I am an only child of yours, I carry your blood in my vessels; I'm the true heir of this court not that spurious yokel boy of Mohan", tears left her eyes and made the lumps in her throat breaks so drew out a dagger and added, "You gave me this when I was fifteen to save Marcus, father, but you never asked me to take care of myself! I wedged it into his back do you see the dried blood?"
Dena was sobbing quietly and closed her eyes when she heard what that little Bi*ch who raised herself had done a disaster to her son.
"How dare you…" Zooland said stilly.
Before saying one more word she pecked the dagger into his heart and murmured, "Lug believes in me and I won't disappoint the man I love, don't worry I'll prove myself and soon you'll be a grandfather".
"You and Lug…" He couldn't afford to say the rest of his words and his eyes got fixed on horizon, not able to taste swallowing fresh air again. Blood rolled along the cold iron and reached her hand and dripped down on the ground. His head fell on her chest.
"A pure psycho family," Arno whispered.
The story of Groan's Lord ended there with the hands of his own daughter and the weapon which he gifted her. But in those cold eyes a rueful shine of pasty people landed.
