Chapter 80 - Groan part (3): Glorious Throne

On the way of Lord's residence you could realize that how new the city is. Buildings were more Roman architectures. Unlike the previous city they passed. Groan was more alive and active. Silman peeked at Arno and shook his head, highly disgusted by that toil between Mohan and Arda.

"My sense says here gravity isn't on our side!" Silman mumbled.

Arno sighed shifted his head to the people's gathering! Everything was quiet well even though they all knew about the monsters attacking villages and forest suburbs near them! So till they didn't come in the central then there is no problem. Even those farmers were talking about it, while you couldn't see a tinge of care on them.

"So embarrassing! Till these walls of Capital protect them and their job the others find a way to hell and it doesn't matter." he answered.

So far everyone knew that Lord Zooland is a crafty rat, always attempting to take advantage of something. Although he would assume helps as conciliar moves against his law. The news of his distrust when he executed some of his loyal men or jailed them leaked out. Enough to prove that he is not predictable. A cold tempered man who doesn't care for lives. One of the pessimist ones and a close friend to King Stephen. At any time he had a filthy plan would let him know first.

As they reached the walls of his fantasy protected castle, the bells ringed and the grating gate got opened. The walls around the castle were thick and covered by spear pales that even birds wouldn't dare to sit on them. A jail for outsiders and insiders! Impervious as long as watchmen and bulky dogs were ready to attack strangers.

Dogs were barking when they entered to the yard. Trees were well shaved to fantastic shapes and in the middle you could see a fountain while passing macadam. It was three nude human shape marble sculpture, water came out of a torch in their hand, three of them reached to hold it. Water fluxed through their body and poured into aqueducts to water the trees and flowers.

Two roaring sculpture were on each sides of the stair case. But the number of watchmen in black made the atmosphere heavy that if they wanted to enjoy that beauty of art couldn't tolerate them.

They got in to the building all relieved with different kinds of textures, from roses on pillars to animals head on wall domains. Marvelous painted arts on the domical ceiling with warm colors could rub your attention at the beginning. The building was more like a heaven court, but beyond this piece of art a villainous throne established! The throne itself was simple made of tanzanite stone. Obviously got much of efforts to become a well-shaped throne.

Lorena rolled her head down, she felt the darkness and stopped going further. The others followed her. Crystal grabbed her trembling shoulder! Daniel remembered when Angel had the same condition over black cloak demons. It was dusk outside no light was coming from the gone sun. Daniel studied the fidgety sense within Lorena's eyes.

It was first time that Lorena faced a demon and high mass of abomination! He held her hand tightly, "Hush, don't be concern he can't feel or harm you," he informed, but wasn't happy that this one also meets Lug and got disappointed.

"No, he is here, if he sees me he would notice, I may flare", her voice trembled, hardly tackled to make those cutting sounds out of her throat. She could feel the fear in her heart. It was cold, tip of her finger froze and turned purple.

"We can handle this together", he was concerned and not sure to what he just said. Lug met Zooland and none of their companions could feel his presence, but three of them. Those who got blessed by Lariduna the great Dragon-Phoenix to be aware of darkness. It was also a test from divine court to know which side they would choose or if even they would fight after knowing the truth. Or will escape away to reach one, but they stepped in. living by the chance couldn't bring peace.

Lug had them all in his fist, slaved and spoiled their thoughts and souls, locked them in chains to make sure they won't run away so no chance they got to survive.

At the end of throne hall, on their right side a great door engraved and colored by heads of dark wolves wide opened. Zooland had worn a white fur on his clothes. Daniel thought that he is just like Allen and won't leave the animals alone. Killing wolves and taking off its fur was terrible!

He stiffed right down his throne watching them with his soulless icy eyes. Lorena rolled her head down as she saw Lug and whispered, "So that's how a demon really looks like! Very stunning featured with dark soul". She could see him clearly, his soul shape and the real worldy corpus. His eyes were yellowish, his face distant and well-shaped, nose and lips all could tell you that he is flawless indeed.

"This way he can deceive every single person who can't see his real face!"

"Can you see his other face?" Daniel asked and she nodded.

"If he was visible to our friends they could hardly believe that he is a wicked man," She was concern.

"So that's how the rulers see him", Daniel muttered.

That flaring tiger laid near a pillar, its wing rose up. Its gaze gravely annoying. Lug sneered at Daniel and soon turned to dark clouds and left there. He heard Lug's voice sibilated in his ears, "Ahh, we meet each other all the time", but Daniel ignored it.

Lorena got released by that dark heavy chill. Her soft soul still wasn't ready to face them all in a sudden she met the first son of Abalis.

"Did you find my son Arda? Zooland barked.

Then his eyes rolled on Daniel, a hint of smile tugged on his face. This boy of Mayor Ray was in Groan. His reputation for being so intelligent and braveness of him could help this time to keep him by his side. He was flying high and not aware of that he may lose oxygen.

"You!" paused and then continued, "I see that Mohan brought us help to find my son, now it's proving me all scandals about you are bunch of useless lies".
