The sun had set. The only light in the camp's vicinity was the flickering light generated in Jamisette's lantern. Jasper was asleep in his tent and Croi.x had powered off, leaving Rayana alone with the human girl. Jamie had her hands held out towards the fire, not gaining much warmth from it. It was encased in glass, it's not going to warm a chubby human woman. Rayana stood up, "I'm going on patrol, keep watch until I come back."
Jamie looked up at her, nodding. Rayana left the campsite, her hand on her sword's handle. A subtle breeze came by, ruffling Jamie's brown hair. She hated how matted it got and she found it incredibly unfair that most elves didn't have to deal with that hassle. They always seemed to have such pretty, soft, touchable hair. Moon elves especially, whether their hair was a deafening white or inky black, it was gorgeous to Jamisette. She wished she could look like that, or have someone with that appearance so that she could constantly gush about how perfect they are. Anybody at all, Sember, Dragonborne, whatever. As long as they were alright with compliments, Jamie would gladly be their companion. Sadly, Rayana didn't enjoy being praised. Jamie didn't understand why she stays with the Midnight Elf. In fact, their leader had a tendency to be rude to her specifically. She put out the fire, entering her tent where Croi.x was resting. Sleep soon consumed her.
